Every voter must make sure they are registered before the deadline and must also ask if they need to be a Registered Republican to participate in their State's Primary or Caucus. All closed primaries / caucuses require each voter to be a registered Republican in order to vote for Ron Paul.

Alabama - Open Primary (2/5). Deadline (10 Days - 1/26).

Alaska - Caucuses (2/5). Deadline (30 Days - 1/6).

Arizona - Primary (2/5). Deadline (30 Days - 1/6).

Arkansas - Open Primary (2/5). Deadline (30 Days - 1/6).

California - Primary (2/5). Deadline (15 Days - 1/21).

Colorado - Caucuses (2/5). Deadline (29 Days - 1/7).

Connecticut - Primary (2/5). Deadline (12 Noon, 2/4).

Delaware - Primary (2/5). Deadline (24 Days - 1/12).

District of Columbia - Primary (2/12). Deadline (30 Days - 1/13)

Montana - Open Primary (6/3). Deadline (30 Days - 5/4).

Nebraska - Primary (5/13 *). Deadline (Second Friday before an election, 5/2).

Utah - Closed Primary (2/5). Deadline (30 Days - 1/6).

Vermont - Open Primary (3/4). Deadline (2/27/08).

Virginia - Open Primary (2/12). Deadline (29 Days - 1/14).

Washington - Open Caucus (2/9) & Primary (2/19). This is a two step process. Deadline (30 Days via mail or online, 15 Days in Person Friday, 1/25).

West Virginia -Closed Primary (18 Delegates at the State Convention on 2/5 (ask the state party for details), 12 Delegates for the 5/13 Primary).

Deadline (21 days to register or change your party to Republican - 4/22 for the Primary).

Wisconsin - Open Primary (2/19). Deadline (The day before or the day of at your polling precinct).

Wyoming - County Conventions (12 Delegates on the Same Day of the New Hampshire Primary (1/22 currently *).

* - Note that these Primaries / Caucuses may be changed to a date earlier than stated.

Hopefully the board moderator will make this a sticky as it should be a valuable resource as we approach the primaries.

I will update the dates when the Iowa and New Hampshire dates (and any other changes) are finalized if the board lets one edit a message after the initial day it is posted.

NY is a closed primary - deadline 10/12/2007 to change registration. Unlike the rumors circulating, it has been this way for 2 years. previously we had to petition congressional districts w/ 5,000 signatures per congressional district etc. so this is mucho better.
