Ron Paul was first on the ballot here in my precinct - he received 8 of 12 votes. Low turnout as usual . People here are election illiterate - 2 repubs wanted to vote democrat and were turned away due to the fact NY is closed primary - they have been voting long enough to know better but still would not vote even for Rp don't know why - they left mad. Another very vocal guy ranted RP should not be on the ballot and should have dropped out - nasty guy . We heard about the incidents in other parts of NY and all i can say is get everyone together and file those charges!

A New York State of Election Fraud for Ron Paul

by Gigi Bowman Page 1 of 1 page(s)

It's not hard to live in a New York State of Election Fraud when the candidate whom you are campaigning for is Ron Paul. It's not that hard for someone to start an ugly rumor, "Ron Paul has dropped out of the race" and get away with it on Primary Day in New York when you have the likes of the New York Times, New York Newsday, the New York Post, the Daily News and the Wall Street Journal ignoring your candidate as if he did not exist. When you have little choice on mainstream news radio and WABC, home of the Conservative Demi-Gods, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingram, et al, are ignoring your choice of Presidential candidate as if he weren't even running for President. When you have your favorite cable news channels CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, ABC, CBS or C-Span skipping over your choice of candidate during debates, polls, and even when showing primary result facts by skipping over his face and percentage in favor of the next guy running behind him. It's not hard to believe when you have High School history teachers leaving his face off the list of Presidential candidates along with the delegates they have won thus far (http://www.opednews.c... ). So no, it is not hard to get away with a rumor and a lie and it did not come as too much of a shock when I got a phone call from one of my meet-up members, Ron Paul delegate Gabe Razzano, that his 76 year old mother called him from her polling place at Giblyn School in Freeport, Long Island to let him know that she could not vote for her choice of candidate, Ron Paul, because she was told he had dropped out of the race.

A few weeks ago I looked at my election card that arrived in the mail telling me where to vote. I got this card because I recently moved and had to reregister. Right on the card it asks if I want to make $160 to work in a polling place on coming election days. I guess you don't have to have any formal training for this job or even have knowledge of whom is actually running for office? You just have to be a warm body?? Well there were quite a few warm bodies with no knowledge of the candidates all over New York State who apparently were fed the same rumor "Ron Paul has dropped out of the Race" because this rumor spread far and wide! When Gabe Razzano went to the polling place on Tuesday evening where his mother tried to vote for Ron Paul he was told the same thing, "Ron Paul has dropped out of the race" He was actually shown the display card which by law must hang on the wall and where they had crossed out Ron Paul's name along with Rudy Giuliani's. Gabe did the only thing he could do, he called the police. The Freeport Police arrived and asked what the problem was. Gabe proceeded to tell them that his mother tried to vote for Ron Paul but was told she could not because he had dropped out of the race when in fact he had not. The police officer, Sargent Essex, went out to his car, spoke to his superior and came back in to tell Gabe that there was apparently no problem as "Ron Paul had dropped out of the Race". *Note, when Gabe went to pick up the police report yesterday, the police officer left off the fact that he said that Ron Paul had dropped out of the race. Gabe has 3 witnesses that the police officer said this.

Well, Ron Paul has NOT dropped out of the race for President of the United States of America. And Freeport Long Island is not the only place where this rumor spread....... when Steve Miller, a volunteer poll watcher for Ron Paul, called in a report that a woman was trying to vote for Ron Paul at her polling place, PS 180 in Brooklyn, when her machine malfunctioned. She was given an emergency ballot and was informed by multiple poll workers that she could not vote for Ron Paul because he was not on the ballot. ( http://www.nydailynew...) Eventually she was able to vote when they realized they were wrong. But what about the people who tried to vote earlier?

Eddie in Monroe County, New York, was told by a poll monitor in his county that Ron Paul had been taken off the list. He knew better as he is also a grass-roots volunteer for Ron Paul but he wonders at other's who were easily convinced by these misinformed people? Tim M in Marlton, NJ --our friendly next door state-- had a member of his meet-up come to the rescue by calling the appropriate agencies when a particular polling place in his town were telling the voters that they can't vote for Ron Paul because he had dropped out. There are more stories. I started a thread on a Ron Paul message board and stories keep coming in but there are already youtubes all over the country of this sort of thing happening in many of the Super-Tuesday states.

On closing....my fifteen year daughter was helping at her high school on Tuesday night for Super Tuesday. When she came home I told her about what was going on with the Ron Paul election fraud situation and her exact words were "Yeah, I heard today from lots of my friends that Ron Paul had dropped out"........

Is this all a coinsidence? If you have a story, please come out and tell us. If we all tell our stories maybe we can make a difference..... otherwise, you know what's coming next... "If Comrade Napoleon says it, it must be right."

I have a story too. I was out trying to help get the word out about Ron Paul on Super Tuesday here in Albany, NY. I was handing out fliers downtown after work and when it got later, I decided to head to the polls. I had some literature left and according to election laws, I thought it was allowed that you could pass out and campaign for candidates so long as you were at least 100 feet from the polling location. So, I went to my local polling location (a school) and they even had a sign there that said "Electioneering Prohibited within 100 feet from polling location." I assumed the sign was at 100 feet. So, I stayed behind the sign and handed out fliers to voters. I wasn't being obnoxious, I didn't prevent people from voting or anythign else disruptive. I was simply handing out fliers to those who would take them.

After about 10 minutes, one lady came up to me and said "Did you know Ron Paul's name was taken off the ballot in NY?" I couldn't believe it. I thought she was making stuff up. She told me she was going to vote for Ron Paul and was told by one of her family members that when they went to vote earlier (in another location) Ron Paul's name was crossed off the ballot. She told me she'd see if that was the case here.

After handing out maybe 25 fliers at the polling place in a half hour or so, two older men came from inside the school and confronted me. They said "Do you know it's illegal for you to be doing this?" I said "Excuse me?" They continued to tell me that I wasn't allowed on school property if I was to be campaigning for a candidate and that I had to leave. I pointed to the sign THEY probably put out they were standing right in front of that said "Electioneering Prohibited within 100 feet from polling location." I said, I'm farther than 100 feet, it's legal. And I'm being respectful and professional about it. They told me again that I had to leave and they said that sign meant I had to be 100 feet away from school property, which was about another 750 feet or more away outside of the fenced area, out in the dark street. So, unfortunately, I said forget it and left since there was no point in trying to hand out fliers to cars driving by and I didn't want to deal with the hastle.

So, insetad I decided to go to another polling location nearby to continue handing out fliers. Within 20 minutes there, I was thrown out as well, so I decided I'd had enough (and plus it was getting on 8pm) so I just went home. It was interesting too becasue one of the guys who threw me out of the school asked if I was here before and hadn't he already asked me to leave once, so I'm guessing maybe some other Ron Pauler's were out earlier and got harrassed by them or maybe one of the other candidates' supporters? I'm not sure. It would have been interesting to see if I would have been asked to leave if I was a Hillary supporter passing out literature.

I just spoke to Carol Paul, and told her what had happened. She had not even heard about it yet, and said she was going to call Dr. Paul right away.

I gave her the pertinent contact numbers on Long Island, and spoke to Gabe Razzano to let him know he may be hearing from Carol or Ron Paul.

I was told to move as well even though I was outside the boundary sign, the man told me someone complained. I informed him of the law and he said he didn't measure where he put the sign and I told him 100 feet duh.

It is a fine of 5,000 and 1 year in prison to interfere with campaigning. You should have had the printout of the law in yer pocket so you could show them and a measuring tape for the idiots they hired at the polling stations who just stuck the sign anywhere.

I moved to about 100 feet and told the man, I am not moving outta this spot, call the cops I dare ya! he didn't what a wuss.

There is also a case in NJ of ballot stuffing for Romney in place of RP from a little ol lady I do believe 1st hand account. She dropped the ballot envelop and pulled Romney ballots outta her pocket and stuffed back into the envelope. yak upchuck, excuse me.

Ron Paul Backer Cries Foul In Brooklyn

Steve Miller, a 27-year-old Brooklynite for Ron Paul, just called in to report that poll workers at PS 180 (57th and 16th Avenue) wrongly informed a voter who wanted to cast a ballot for the Texas Congressman that there were only two Republicans on the ballot.

MIller, who is a volunteer poll-wacther for Paul, said the woman tried to vote on a machine, but was given an emergency ballot when the machine malfunctioned. She was then informed by "multiple" poll workers, who repeated their claims to Miller, ("right to my face," he said), that Paul wasn't on the ballot.

The woman did finally manage to vote for Paul, according to Miller, who said he has been spending the day traveling from one polling site to another to hand out Paul literature and talk to voters. He said he was asked to leave one site (PS 201) even though he was well behind the legal line that denotes the no-politicking zone.
