[quote]Raymond, I don't think most of Obama's">Obama's supporters would be bothered by his being a muslim, even if he hadn't converted to Christianity. Personally, I lost interest in Obama after I realized I'd heard multiple interviews and one debate iwth him and still hadn't heard him give any specifics on what he stands for. I'm sure you can come up more convincing reasons not to vote for Barack Obama.
Hello Paul: As far as I am concerned that is enough for me. My interest is only to discuss the positive points about Dr. Ron Paul and how he will stop the country from going down the tubes. I have studied the DVD the Secret and have learned how to bring in the Law of Attraction into my life. The results for me have been outstanding. In the DVD the Secret, it talks about Mother Teresa, she said she will never attend a Anti-peace rally but she will attend a pro-peace rally. When you concentrate on anything negative that focus is getting all the attention and that is negative and will bring about what you do not want. Concentrate on what you want to happen and that is positive, the results have been amazing for me. Understanding the Law of attraction, it has changed my life. The Secret is a subject of Quantum Physics. Raymond |

Sometimes I feel like I would have a better chance dealing with John Gotty then the connivers in the political system. Think you Will Become a Delegate or Ron Paul will Not be President Devvy Kidd article with annotation Before Ron Paul can get elected, he has to be nominated by delegates at the Republican National Convention which will take place in St. Paul, Minnesota. September 1-4, 2008. We have to get elected as delegates to the convention. Electoral college delegates have to be constitutionalists because they elect the president by casting their vote. Those who support Ron Paul must begin the process now of getting elected as a delegate to the convention or it's all over and the GOP faithful will get the shadow government's choice shoved down their throats - again. The power players behind the scenes will orchestrate the show and the people will be the losers - again. The same applies with getting nominated as an electoral college delegate because America got a good lesson in civics during the 2000 pretend election regarding the popular vote vs the electoral college system. A word to the wise: if you present yourself as a supporter of Ron Paul, you will never get elected as a delegate. Wave the flag, shout power to the GOP, rah, rah, rah, get elected and then begin your campaign to get Ron Paul nominated. Now, some might say this type of stealth isn't right. Here's what's not right: back room deals and big money giving the American people no choice in these elections and anyone who thinks this isn't how the process has been working for the past century is in a state of denial. Get together with your friends or people you know and plan your strategy now and work to get elected as a delegate. Time is quickly slipping by, every minute counts. Several states including FL, SC and Iowa are planning to move their state Primaries to early December 2007 in order to prevent Ron Paul from garnering enough support financially and geographically. GOP Primaries are generally held on EVEN numbered years and it's not a mere coincidence that changes are being initiated and that Ron Paul just so happens to be running. -------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- -- So how do I become a delegate? 1) First and foremost, be a member of the Republican Party and register as a Republican if you live in a closed primary state such as New York. I don't want to be part of them either but Ron Paul's sacrificing a lot too. 2) It starts in your state at the local level: Click here to see your state delegate process with instructions. If your state isn't listed, please contact your state Republican party: http://www.gop.com/st... and ask how to be a delegate to the Republican National Convention at your state primaries (NOT your state party convention); They'll be more than happy to give you the specifics (provided you don't tell them you're a Ron Paul supporter). For most states, it starts at your local precinct, then county, then senatorial district, then state and finally the Rep. National Convention: It's a long journey. :) 3) The 2008 Primary Process In general, it's a step-by-step process in becoming a delegate. For example, to become a delegate in Texas (open primary state): Vote in the 2008 Texas State Primary Election (March 4) and you are then eligible to be a delegate to your precinct. Your first convention will take place at your precinct's election day polling place within two hours after the polls close at 7:00 p.m. Most of these "precinct conventions" are very poorly attended, and typically there are more delegate/alternate places than people to fill them, so it's usually easy to get elected as delegate at the precinct level. WE CAN ORGANIZE AND PLAN for all this in January with plenty of time. (continued) It's critical that we become delegates or all our hard work will be in vain. Become a delegate and we'll get to hear Dr. Ron Paul giving his Inaugural Address in 2009. I just sent this information to a religious leader that I know in LA California. Dr. Price, If he likes what I sent him he will be a big asset.
Dear Dr. Price: There are millions of citizens in the United States that are very concerned that this country is being taken down the tubs by the people in politics. We have studied all candidates on both sides and they are about as exciting as watching paint dry. They all talk like they come from the Old Boy's Network that is destroying this nation. I found only one man Congressman Dr. Ron Paul who has just fascinated me with his understanding as to what he has to do to change the destructive course the nation is taking. The Internet is being used by the college people who realize that this country is in trouble and is progressively getting worse, they are sending out millions of personal emails, spreading the word about Dr. Ron Paul Please study this site I am sending you. http://dailypaul.com/... Hi Raymond,
Your information is right, however your spelling is lacking. For some reason people are now spelling "lose" (with a soft "s" to misplace something, or to be a loser in an election) as "loose" (with a hard "s" the opposite of tight). Another thing, the organizers of each MeetUp must become Voter Registration Drive (VRD) Agents within their states. Each state is different, in Colorado you must file with the Secretary of State. In other places, possibly the County Clerk. Here in Colorado, I can train several of my MeetUp people for VRD. They, in turn, can train others. When we do a booth at a fair we pass out flyers (to recruit), sell memorabilia and do VRD. Now that the "Slim Jims" or "Push Cards" are coming, as a local organizer, you can modify them by purchasing a custom made Office Depot stamp (the one they make in 5 minutes & let you choose the font/size etc.) ONCE YOU RECEIVE THE MATERIALS FROM Campaign HQ. The reason is you want to see how much room you have to make the stamp. The stamp will have the following call to action information: Learn More at http://www.RonPaul200... People,
his post was written some time ago and and has taken on a life of it's on, like a chain letter or an urban legend. First off, it's illegal, not to mention completely unethical to hide who you support in such a situation. Second, GOP type groups are an "old boys club", it is highly unlikely that you would rise to the level of national delegate between now and then. However, I have heard that the candidate has some say in who gets chosen. This is a LONG process. Lets get rid of another myth posing as a sure fire plan to win, while we're at it. Someones pet theory is that the only people worth going after are registered republicans that vote in the primaries... this was posted earlier today in another group: ------8<-------- The WSJ reports that the latest Harris Interactive poll shows that Ron is at 2% in June (up from 1% in both April and May) among REPUBLICAN PRIMARY VOTERS, the voters that can/will actually vote for Ron. But check this out: among ALL ADULTS, Ron's numbers are far higher. Ron Paul April 2% May 2% June 4% Republican 4% Democrat 1% Independent 6% Clearly, a key part of the Ron Paul strategy has to be to convince Ron supporters to switch parties to vote in the primaries. This is the low- hanging fruit for the campaign. ---------8<------- Clearly, 2/3rds of Ron Paul's support is NOT coming from republicans! If we ignore everyone else, we are guaranteeing that we will LOSE! I talked to a Meetup organizer in California, and she's had no problem getting democrats to switch to republican to vote for Ron. It's an easy sell - every one else on the dem ticket, other than Kucinich they can't stand and they are sick and tired of business as usual. Independents are our biggest supporters and I saw somewhere that they make up 30% of registered voters. FIND THEM! odd that there are no numbers on Libertarians... Nathan as to Patricia's post, yes - I talked to our county election board and they are willing to come out to train voter registration volunteers in groups of 15+, or people can drop in for the training. It takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you are trained, they will give you voter registration forms and you can sign people up and turn the forms in for them. Great for door knocking or tabling! Getting non-voters registered because there is finally someone worth voting for or getting people to switch party is a major part of our strategy. We are probably not going to focus on republicans till the 3 month cut off on changing party, and at that point THE ONLY ONES WE CAN FOCUS ON ARE REPUBLICAN! Everyone else is a waste of time till after the primaries. We also will have the supplemental voter registration files then, of everyone that registered between then and now so if we are using them for block walking or mailings, we won't be doing the same blocks twice to fill in gaps!
