Flo are you on facebook? Joseph Lanzendorfer has set up a page called "OPERATION: REPUBLICAN CAUCUS STORM" where we will be coordinating campaign efforts by our respective states.

Would you please provide a link to this?

This thread will contain action alerts from the Presidential Campaign staff as well as from other Meetup Organizers.

If your action pertains to a specific geographic area please indicate the area in the subject line (i.e. "Action Alert: New Hampshire").

Justine, I'd like to invite you to take a look at the growing new forum that I set up today and see if you think it looks more user-friendly than this board. It's also not so accessible to prying eyes.

If you think it's something the campaign could use to its advantage, and the FEC allows you to participate, please join, post a very short introduction (e.g. "Justine Lam, Arlington VA, campaign coordinator") and I will open up the whole forum for you right away so you can see the boards that are invisible to new people until we are reasonably sure who they are and that they haven't come to create chaos.

I think you'll find that we've got quite a well-organized and flexible, secure and highly functional setup that will go a long way in advancing the grassroots supporters' efforts - more so with your input.

Thanks,

Pat

After I privately communicated with Patricia concerning her new forum site, I realized my comments would be better served on the board. After visiting Patricia's site, I want to validate her claims; the site provides valuable efficiency in information sharing across people/ regional groups while simultaneously facilitating connections and involvement by region and state where MeetUp, unfortunately, fails. Her structure and functionality streamlines the entire process, which promotes greater productivity and generates important time savings for users.

Although MeetUp is established, I believe we all would greatly benefit by migrating to Patricia's site. I hope Justine will take this suggested move under advisement.

Yours in Liberty,
Dena

Patricia, I have been MIA on vacation since last week and am
just getting caught up. Kudos to you for such incredible work
on the forum website. Even if it is not as secure as we were
discussing for strategy purposes, it is such a user-friendly,
well-organized site perfect in structure for the MeetUp groups
and for more effective information sharing. I hope to see all
the MeetUp groups migrate.

Very well done! Take a bow.

Yours in Liberty,
Dena

All,
I would like to ask the worldwide Ron Paul Meetup community to forward small donations to Jeff Yeager and Tim & Heather Olsen in Iowa if at all possible.
As we all know, the Ames, IA straw poll is absolutely critical to establishing Dr. Paul as a legitemate candidate for the GOP nomination, so Iowa needs some operating funds immediately to begin getting the word out. "Post time" for us isn't half a year away, it's less than 2 months! shock

Cedar Rapids, in collaboration with Iowa City, will be staging a "sign painting party" as the first step to establishing "meat-space visibility" in Iowa, but we will need some startup money to begin our efforts in earnest.
Anything each group can spare would be greatly appreciated and extremely helpful. Any donation, no matter how small, can go a long way if everyone chips in.

Thanks!

How do we get the donations to them?

The easiest way would be to go to the group page and contact Tim & Heather Olson.
They can tell you where to remit donations.

Action Alert: August 20th
Please spread this to everyone you know. August 20th is Ron Paul's birthday. We are calling for at least $25 on his birthday. This is giving everyone about two months to save for the donation. It is also being encouraged to do anything you can on August 20th to show your support of Ron Paul: post yard signs, hold rallies, write in to media outlets, etc. I'm hoping anyone in a meetup group can organize locally to hold a rally for Ron Paul and also video tape it and get it on YouTube!
