Good to know she's gotten back to someone. When did you hear back from her?

Hi I just wanted to get this message out to all the Ron Paul meetup groups.

We've started a myspace hub for Bands & Musicians who Support Ron Paul called Bands4RonPaul www.myspace.com/bands4ronpaul
We are getting members from all over the world.
The page is growing into a full blown World Peace Movement though. with all types of artists contributing ideas, videos, artwork, writings and dedication to Spread Ron Paul awareness through music culture. So not only might we get more young people questioning and learning for themselves "Who is Ron Paul?", but when they learn we hope the ones who've never felt that it mattered enough to VOTE and that they didn't matter in elections. Will see a Powerful Movement to come together for the first time in their lives in this Election, Change the World, and make History. With Ron Paul being the hub of our movement, the people as the spokes, and the Music as the Energy to turn the wheel forward we can generate great Momentum.
In 8 days since we've started we've accumulated over 600
members and around 60 are bands/musicians/djs who have come forward acknowledging they are avid Ron Paul supports, while we still have many other bands on the page who are still either undecided or we just haven't gotten definite confirmation yet. We have 5 musicians so far who have their own Ron Paul songs up. And many other artistic collaborators are helping with projects to spread Ron Paul awareness to the people and musical culture.

So Im asking of all you Ron Paul Meetups who have members who fit the above description
to come and join us, and let us help coordinate all the musicians/bands/djs in one place so they can be easily found and organized for future Ron Paul projects in the months ahead.
Please get this out to all your members! Thanks!

Oh also this second part is related to The first Ron Paul Concert project in the works now, and could use help/advice from any of the Ron Paul Groups as wel.

We're working with the Campaign Heads on the first Ron Paul Concert Project right now. At first we had a tentative date for July 4th. But the campaign suggested moving it to July 14th which is better for Ron Pauls schedule and he wants to be there! Location is also tentative, San Antonio is one place we're looking at right now. We've got some great musicians on board already and getting more. Jimmy Vaughan is probably going to play and
The Three Shoes Posse too
http://www.myspace.co...
and theres 2 bands I want to get down here from Pennsylvania if anyone can suggest ideas for helping cover the costs for their
travel here, or lodgeing, like Specials on RV rental or any kinda travel donations or any ideas like this please let me know!

Here are the two bands in PA
http://www.myspace.co...
and
http://www.myspace.co...

There will be more Austin area bands responding soon too, and Im trying to reach Willie Nelson now too, about to try through his agent as well.

Best way to reach me is on www.myspace.com/bands4ronpaul but if you just hate myspace too much to get an account. You can email me at bands4ronpaul@yahoo.com also

Thanks! -Joel

I got an invite, but after three times calling and punching in the access code given to me by Justine and then being told by a machine that "the access code number you entered is not correct," I'll just wait for a normal telephone call for my marching orders. They've got my number.

Lovely system. Might as well use smoke signals to put out the word. confused

Will, I have been listening to it for an hour...I have logged on and off at least 6 times (to take care of customers) Try it again, it seems to be working for a lot of people.

After reviewing my post, I did not want there to be any chance to mistake my posting as an official campaign announcement. I therefore have edited it to this reply.

I have posted the Conference Call Notes with the Meetup Organizers and they should be readily available for people who would like to look at them.

Thank you very much for your time.

Respectfully Submitted,

Thanks, Sid. Since I've always only used a phone card to make long distance calls from my landline (no cell gadgetry for me, thanks), it requiresthat I punc 43 or 44 or 45 digits, depending on whether I have to push a * before the access code (like Justine told me it has in her phone call to me when I asked for help), or without (as the original email invitation had the access code), or with an # after the access code is entered (as the autogenerated robot voice instructed after I had made successfully dialed in to the service each of the three times I tried between 5:56pm and a couple of minutes after 6:00, my scheduled time to call. Each time I was told by Roboto that I had entered an invalid access code, I was able to check what I had just dialed on my little display screen against what Justine had sent me for the access code. I had not misdialed in any of the three attempts -- once without the *prefix and twice with it.

Isn't there a word that describes the mental condition of one who continues to fail at something yet keeps trying the same thing anyway, expecting a different result? After punching my phone pad 132 times and being told by a goddamned robot that I don't get it, I took the robot's word for it, placed the telephone back in it's little home base, and cooked supper.

I have an aversion to high tech crap. That's not my thing. I also take directions literally and when they are wrong or confusing or contradictory, as these instructions were for me, I blame the one who gave me the wrong or confusing instructions. It's up to him to clarify, not I. All I can do is notify him of the problem as I'm doing here, in the hope that the problem is fixed. I subscribe to the Napolean Bonaparte school of thought on issuing orders. He admonished his staff officers to never allow an order leave his command tent which his dumbest Private didn't understand explicitly. I style myself that dumbest Private who can't figure out how to follow what should be a simple instrucyion. Were I Dr. Paul and I had a Private step forward, as an unpaid volunteer, who volunteered to raise and organize a Company of unpaid volunteers here in this operational theater -- the Volunteer State -- to go into battle for him in his impending campaign and fight like hell for him, I'd be pissed if I learned that that volunteer missed my briefing because my staff screwed up the order. When something like this happens, it needs to be acknowledged and corrected to make things work next time.

Sorry to ramble on like that, but these were my thoughts on the disappointment of missing my very first conference call ever. I wonder if I'm the only dumbass who missed the call. What's worse I assumed from the invitation instructions that came to me through the service, not the RP campaign office, that I had to subscribe to the conference call service and pay 10 cents per minute, which was OK with me, so I ended up unnecessarily giving that service my credit card information. There was also some sort of "calendar" attached to the first invitation which I couldn't open. I was instructed to "drop and drag" something, whatever in hell that means, or "open using an application." That's when my computer froze up the first time this afternoon.

:( Sorry you missed it. I agree, if there is a problem it needs to be addressed.

I hope you make the next one. It sounds like you will be able to really add something to our conversations.

Keep the chin up and those fingers loose. ;)

American Express is having a contest, the prize is up to 5 million.
Members get to submit ideas on what they'd like the prize to go for, the one that gets the most votes wins. We have an army of 7000 active supporters, the most votes I've seen for any one project is 125. Projects will be narrowed down to the top 50 on the 3rd. We need to get a Ron Paul funding project up there on the 2nd, and blow it off the map by the 3rd. Here's a link.

This may be a little unorthodox, but we definitely can do it, and it would solve our money problems period.

I see that one be an American Express cardholder to participate. That leaves out us po' folk who don't have a high enough annual income to get their card. But I searched for "ron paul" among the projects anyhow, and got "no results".
