Public Speaking

Is anyone interested in working with others to improve your public speaking skills?  Does the thought of speaking before a group of people make you a little nervous?  Does the thought of speaking in public give you the feeling of butterflies in your stomach or make you so nervous your knees begin to knock? Or, maybe you enjoy speaking to groups, but wonder if you could be a more effective speaker.

Those of us in the Ron Paul movement need to be able to communicate effectively.  In the coming years, some of us may want to run for political office.  Some of us may be presented with opportunities to speak before various social organizations or special interest groups in our communities.  We need to seize upon these opportunities and communicate effectively to assure our success.

I can tell you from experience that strong communications and leadership skills can help you in all aspects of your life.

If there is enough interest, we can start our own toastmasters club (http://www.toastmaste...).  My initial thought is that we can meet twice a month in the Drexel Hill area for perhaps an hour and a half to work on our public speaking skills.  With a little work we can learn to get those butterflies in synchronization and get those knees knocking in rhythm.
