I'm passing this invitation on to all you Liberty Lovers. I attended this class in 2007 and it was GREAT! ...

Greetings,

This eMail blast is just to let you know that know that I will be presenting my 8-hour Constitution class in Chicago on Saturday, December 12th from 9:00am to 6:00pm. It will be held at the Lincoln Restaurant located 4008 Lincoln Avenue. The $100 admission includes an autographed copy of GOOD TO BE KING, which will be the text for the day-long program. Afterwards, students are invited to join me for a social gathering hosted by the Libertarian Party of Chicago. Interested students are asked to register by visiting my website
(ConstitutionPreservation.org) and following the PayPal link for that class. If anyone has questions about the class, they are invited to call me at 512-461-0995. Thanks for your help...

End the Fed Chicago 2009 One Week Warning and Logistics!

Folks,

The national End the Fed group has called for nationwide rallies again on November 22. Let’s build on what we did last year and make the 2009 edition bigger and better! The long range forecast says 49 with a 30% chance of rain, which is actually better than a year ago.

We’ll gather at Heald Square, which is on the south side of the Chicago River and north of Wacker Drive, between State and Wabash. Assemble between noon and 1:00pm. If you get close it should be easy to spot -- there’s a statue of George Washington and a couple other financiers of the Revolutionary War (see http://chicago-outdoor-sculptures.blogspot.com/2007/11/heald-square-monument.html). For those into GPS, the specific coordinates are lat. 41.887216 long. -87.626878. I’ll post a Google Earth shot of the square.

We have a route planned that will take us past the major media outlets and the most popular downtown shopping areas, before finishing up at the seat of evil. I’m still working on the speaker list. I have some confirmed, and am working on seeing if I can attract any special surprises. Fliers will be updated with the starting location and time, and we’ll get them posted.

If you’re bringing literature, DVDs, etc., great! If you’re thinking about bringing brochures, magazines, DVDs, etc., please don’t just think about it -- do it. The number of people we’ll be exposed to will be well into the thousands. Also, continue to forward invites to the event around. Bring your cameras and videocams too, let’s get lots of pictures and videos.

If you arrive late, our route will take us into Millennium Park probably around 2:00pm. If you go to meet us in Millennium Park at 2:00pm and we aren’t there, it’s because we haven’t gotten there yet. If you’re driving, you’ll see a number of parking lots and self-park lots scattered around downtown. If I read the signs right, parking is $14 for 12 hours on weekends.

We seem to have more online groups than last year to post this to, so I’m having a harder time getting a read on attendance. Please ask to have this posted to any online groups you’re part of that haven’t seen it yet. We’re going to have people from all over the country this time. One of our co-organizers is flying in from Montana. We have a minivan with a dozen or so coming in from Wisconsin. One of our speakers is a Continental Congress 2009 delegate from Missouri. And I’m hoping to attract additional CC2009 delegates and participants from around the country.

Public transportation is available via Metra from the suburbs (12 minute walk to the starting point, about 15 from the ending point), and the CTA from other points in the city. Cab rides from the train stations and nearby parking garages are generally pretty short. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT GETTING THERE!! Chris Jenner – 847-421-7655, cjenner01@yahoo.com.

The location will be somewhere downtown, likely east of Michigan Ave. Details will be posted as they're available, and will be locked down within one week of the event.

Hosts: Chicago Republican Women's Network, The 21 Club and the Illinois Republican National Hispanic Assembly

Note from the organizers:
"This is a great opportunity to hear from the slates of statewide and county candidates for all of the following offices: Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, and Cook County Board President. Nearly all of the Republican candidates for each of these offices will be present, and we are asking them to speak briefly on just a couple of specific topics to make a comparison easier and more straightforward. We hope that you will take a little time out of a busy schedule to join us and make an important decision while networking with group and party leaders as well."

Cash bar. Appetizers will be provided. $15 per person. Pay at the door.
