Estimated attendance:  3  people attended.

Dr. Ron Paul will be making an appearance in Fort Wayne, IN on Monday, May 5th at Indiana University - Purdue University (IPFW) at The John and Ruth Rhinehart Music Center, which is inside the Auer Auditorium. The rally begins at 7:00pm. Travel time from Chicago to Fort Wayne is approximately 3-1/2 hours. Plus you need to allow that Fort Wayne is 1 hour ahead of Chicago time!

If anyone is interested in taking a road trip out to Fort Wayne on Monday, please post here, as well as on the thread on the message board, and we can try to set up a carpool. I am definitely interested in attending, but can't afford the gas on my own.

Click blue arrows for names of buildings. Rhinehart is towards the top.

This appears to be a link to the Music Center. In looking at this, it seems
the Rhinehart Music Center is its own building. Sorry, I'm just going by
what I was given from the Fort Wayne meetup group.

Either way, the address is correct -- 2101 East Coliseum Boulevard in Ft. Wayne.

It was as amazing as I thought it would be or dared hoped it could be. The people in Indiana were great. The campus was friendly, even the state trooper that pulled me over on the way there let me go after grilling me on why I support RP, and my daughter managed to put her two cents in from the backseat. (mind you I was only going 6-8 miles over the limit...) Anyway, the speech was classic RP, the crowd kept filing in until the last minute. Everyone was into it. Tons of standing cheers, of course. After the speech we had the opportunity to get into line for book signing. So, it was truly incredible. We had right up front clear view, we waited in line maybe 5 mins. total to meet him and have a photo op/book sign. Everything was really well organized, people were polite and I was impressed. My only regret? Not bringing a camera, video or otherwise. My lousy picture phone will have to suffice.
