Please join like minded folks for our monthly meeting. We'll have a great *non-partisan* speaker making an encore performance. In July, Sheila Weinberg addressed our group about how much worse the Illinois state budget is than what we're being told. http://www.truthinacc...

On Saturday, Sheila will employ her rare ability to show attendees very simply how much more financial trouble the federal government is in than what we're being told. Please join us in Algonquin on Saturday for a great speaker, and to make bigger plans with like minded activists.

    • “ The high point of the meeting was Sheila Weinberg's presentation on the Financial State of the Union. She explained clearly how the government does not follow accepted accounting rules that govern all major corporations, even when they claim to do so. She presented the discrepancies in easy-to-understand pie charts. A second feature of the meeting was the attendance by Bill Lee, who is running for the US Senate in 2014. He did not have a formal presentation, but we learned much from informal conversations. ”
