I seldom reply to notices in such a manner as this, but I feel that I must speak up if no one else is. Perhaps many of you do not know what I do about this organization, so I will share...
I received a Ron Paul meetup message for a march against the NAU in downtown Houston and decided to go to the event. I was very dissapointed when it turned out not to be an RP related event, but a racist US Borderwatch/Tancredo
/Duncan Hunter rally! I felt as if I had been hijacked!
We RP'ers were prohibited by the US Boderwatch personnel from carrying our RP signs. And this was an event I found out about on the RP meetup!
The US Borderwatch speaker stated in his speach (which was peppered throughout with "disclaimers of racism") that immigrants "should leave their heritage, culture, and language at the border" when coming into the US. They proved themselves to be racist troublemakers to us, and we will not support any of their activities.
We must police ourselves in this revolution, lest we end up infiltrated, muted, and defeated from within our own camps. Remember what has happened to the NRA and so many others.
If you believe that all men are created equal and if you believe in the ideals and principals of Ron Paul, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, then I don't see how you could at the same time support such a group of misguided troublemakers as the US Borderwatch organization. On the other hand if you are ignorant enough to believe that Mexicans are our problem, or if you are a racist, bigot, or troublemaker, you will fit right in.
I do not appreciate getting notices on the RP meetup about US Borderwatch activities. This is an RP meetup - let Borderwatch get their own fucking meetup!
