Welcome, Melbourne Ron Paul Supporters!

This is a Ron Paul appreciation group for his constitutionalist and libertarian philosophy, and to help get him elected.

Ron Paul is guided by the principals written down as the constitution. No other candidate is guided by these principals. Other candidates are guided by party principals, personal principals, personal ambition, lobbyists, media, etc.

Government has progressively veered off course from aims of the declaration of independence, the articles of confederation, and the constitution. The philosophy was freedom from centralization of power and freedom from unrepresented power. The intent was to prevent the centralized power, hence prevent corruption, prevent the ability to wage war, prevent building an empire, and prevent financial exploitation. The goal was to defend personal and individual freedom.

Currently there is financial centralization due to taxation. There is banking centralization and control that is exploiting those outside the financial sector. There are laws and regulations based on collective entities rather than individuals, reducing individual liberty.

The 16th amendment must be revoked to reverse the trend of centralization.
