About The Front Royal Ron Paul 2008 Meetup Group

(This page is being edited and updated frequently - please pardon our dust)

This Meetup group is dedicated to spreading an awareness of Ron Paul. We understand that Americans have the right to believe what they want and to decide the issues for themselves. We cannot purport to hold Freedom and Personal Liberty so dearly without respect for those who may disagree with us. To do otherwise would be to destroy the same Freedoms and Personal Liberties we hold so dear.

Why do we want to spread knowledge of Ron Paul?

Ron Paul is a Republican candidate running for the Presidential nomination. He is a former OB/GYN doctor and a ten term congressman from Texas. He is an anomaly in Congress, an honest, principled servant of the people; this is evident in his refusal to waver from his principles and his staunch support for the Freedoms of the people of America.

We have culled together links to some of Ron Paul's issue-related positions. We encourage you to read his statements and decide for yourself.

The Declaration of Independence was our formal declaration to the World of our rights as human beings. It clarifies that Government is instituted merely to secure those rights. The declaration further states that if ever the Government becomes destructive of our rights, we, as Free People, have the right to alter or abolish it. The Declaration of Independence is the precursor to the Constitution. After having declared that we as people have a right to be free, the Constitution was crafted as a menas to govern a Free People. The Constitution is the basis and framework for law in the United States of America.

Ron Paul believes in the Constitution. As the Constitution states, powers not granted to the Federal government are expressly denied to the Federal government and are left to the individual states.
Ron Paul believes in personal freedom and liberty.

Facts:

  • The United States dollar has been devalued by the Federal Reserve overprinting of money to the point where it is now worth only $0.04 compared to 1913. Research the dollar on Wikipedia Ron Paul wants to stop this inflationary tax. Why abolish The Federal Reserve?
  • The Patriot Act allows the government to search anything you have (your house, your car, bank information, your person, your Internet search and usage, and even what books you check out of the library), at any time, for any or no reason. It allows them to seize any asset you have for any or no reason. It suspends all of your rights acknowledged in the constitution. This is no conspiracy theory. Read the Patriot Act and decide for yourself. Click here to read the text of the Patriot Act Ron Paul believes the Patriot Act is very detrimental to Personal Liberty. • The war in Iraq (where we found no Weapons of Mass destruction; the reason we were told we went in when we did) will reach over $2,400,000,000,000 (two trillion, four hundred billion dollars) by the time it is over. Our cost is already almost $500,000,000,000 (five hundred billion dollars)Click here for the running total
