What: Texas GOP Convention

Who should come: Any and all Ron Paul supporters should attend if at all possible! Of course, delegates and alternates need to be there, but there is much you can do to support us even if you will never be seated at the convention.

Why: This is an extremely important next step in the Revolution. If you are a delegate or alternate, you play a significant role here, but you can only help us make a difference if you show up for the entire convention (Thur. am - Sat. noon).

Meeting Description: We are striving for a fair convention where open, honest debate is welcome. The Texas RP organizers have been furiously fighting for this outcome, so please keep them in mind as they work to make sure no one is disenfranchised and everyone's voice can be heard.

If you are a delegate / alternate, please make sure you have sent your contact info to tx@ronpaul2008.com, so that you get the emails from the campaign regarding the plans for the convention.

If you were not elected as a delegate / alternate, you can still play a significant role! Please check out the volunteer opportunities on the Convention 2008 page of the Texas GOP website: www.texasgop.org There are many needs you can offer to fill. Teenagers might be interested in the page program.

On Thursday night at 9pm in the ballroom at the Hilton, you won't want to miss "Ron Paul's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social". We are told that this is THE social event of the weekend and we don't want to miss it! After all, this is Ron Paul's home state convention, so let's work to make it the best!

If you are a delegate / alternate, you should have received info from the Texas GOP by now. Please register as soon as possible! Note that the only required fee is the $35 facility fee. All of the other stuff (banquet, grassroots training, etc.) is optional.

SPECIAL PROJECT: Anyone interested? On the TX GOP website, there are lists of all of the temporary committee members along with their contact information. If anyone would like to help organize a book drop to these folks, speak up! It would be great to get a copy of "The Revolution: A Manifesto" into their hands very soon. Especially the Platform Committee......they will be going through lots of resolutions that were passed based on the RP Platform. If they could read this book, they'd have a better understanding of where those ideas come from and how they are all purely Republican in nature!
