Me and the wife are full time Wedding Photographers.   Does Paul know about the planned photo op idea?   The reason I ask is doing a "Santa" style Portrait session could take some significant amount of his time and I'm not sure what his schedule is.  I'll certainly be taking lots of photos while there so getting a handful of us shaking his hand, etc, shouldn't be a problem but if you intend to have a more formal (photo with Ron Paul!) type of shoot we might want to discuss it with someone involved in the campaign.

Ron Paul is supposed to be speaking at the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) Gun Rights Convention at the Drawbridge Inn at 1830 on Oct.6, 2007. The SAF has agreed to allow us to be a part of their convention and have a Ron Paul Rally when he speaks. Josh and I are hoping to have a professional photographer there to take photos for us with Ron Paul.

This will be marketed as a Ron Paul rally. The Ron Paul rally will be held at the SAF conference. There will be a lot of major potential contributors and big wigs there who are still undecided about the presidential race. Their decisions can literally bring hundreds of thousands into the campaign. A big turnout will have a huge impact on their decision as to who they will support. And remember, SAF invited us to have our rally there. They want us there with a huge turnout (the Second Amendment Foundation certainly wants to support Ron Paul).

We are planning a greeting for RP at the airport as well and welcome anyone who wants to be there.

As for soliciting funds, I would expect that would be done at most rallies (except for rallies right before Election Day). As I have never been to a Ron Paul rally, but I would have a hard time thinking that they would not at least have donation forms there. We will not twist people's arms for money, but we will offer them the chance to donate.

We are planning a photo op and hopefully folks might want to donate some money for a personal pic with RP. Remember the campaign needs money!

So spread the word. It looks like we are going to pull this off.
