I agree with Austin's post that emails to the group should be restricted to announcing events and meetings. But I'm very much an ideas and issues-oriented person, and would like to know if there are any restrictions on what we can post to the message board. I would like to be able to send out links to important news articles and opinion columns that I believe would be educational as well as motivating. But I also don't want to ruffle too many feathers. So, are their any guidelines we should observe for message board posts?

Message board is 100% free reign. 911 Truth is even ok, and practically everything else except some extreme forms of hate or racism.
I pledge not to moderate the message board, but still reserve the right to kick out anyone who breaks that trust. The good thing is after a year of this campaign I have yet to come across anything worth that type of punishment, so I don't except it ever to be an issue. All Shana and I ask is that members use common sense and remember that outsiders (who may not be as informed on the issues) can be scared off if they see our postings as "militant", "extremist", "loony", or anything else of the nature. One more thing:
If the message board matures and has good, informative postings then I would be willing to allow a "Message board roundup" email to be sent out once every several days. |
