Final Vote on the Taxpayer Protection Amendment is Tomorrow!!!!

Tomorrow, at a 10:00 AM EST meeting in Tallahassee, it will be debated by the full Taxation and Budget Reform Commission. If they approve it, this essential legislation will be placed on the November '08 ballot as a proposed amendment to the state constitution.

However, powerful special interests are going to be attending this hearing. Members of the Florida Association of Counties and the League of Cities will be present. These individuals are taxpayer-funded lobbyists. They are using YOUR tax dollars to lobby against YOUR interests.

We need to be out in force at this meeting. Americans for Prosperity will be leading a rally at 10:00 AM and we want you to join us. There will also be an opportunity for public comment on this legislation inside the hearing, and we need to have our voices heard there as well.

Currently, we are near the end of the agenda. This means that our legislation will most likely not be debated before 11:00 AM.

Please help us by taking one minute out of your day and emailing these undecided commissioners. It is very important that you tell them that you want proposal 'CP 45'. Tell them that you think that politicians should be required to get voter approval to override the revenue cap.
