REC Meeting Notice - 7 PM (social 6 PM) Thursday, October 30th

Dear RPOS Executive Committee (REC) Members:

You are invited and encouraged to attend the REC meeting at 7 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Andrew's Church at 6908 Beneva Road, Sarasota, FL 34238-2607 (south of Clark Road).
Per the RPOS rules & regulations, REC members who are not able to attend a REC meeting are required to seek an excused absence; please send requests to Peter Rice:

This notice is also being sent to those who were elected as precinct committeemen/women in August for the term beginning on December 1, 2008, but who are not currently on the REC. They are encouraged to attend.

Reminder and brief discussion that the current four year term of office of precinct committeemen/women ends on November 30, 2008. Those elected to be precinct committeemen/women for the new term will take office on December 1, 2008 and soon thereafter will elect their REC officers: chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and treasurer.

Minutes of the meeting of Thursday, September 18, 2008

The meeting was called to order at Nokomis Elk's Lodge at 7:05 PM by Chairman Eric Robinson. Donna Clarke gave the invocation and Doug Holder led the pledge.

Chairman Robinson recognized elected officials and candidates present.

Brief comments were made by Republican candidates.

The minutes of the REC meetings of August 14th and May 31st were approved without objection.

Information was provided by RPOF field staff Andres Malave concerning recruitment and training of RPOS volunteers.

Chairman Robinson adjourned the meeting at 8:05 PM
