"Kudos and Commendations are in order for the organizers of our little
convention in Travis County, SD25 - to Robert McDonald, Joe Burwell, Gordon
Walton, Nate Thompson, and the many others who worked so hard.

The work paid off.  Robert was elected permanent precinct chair by a vote of
110 to 94 (or was it 96...?).  A near-run thing!  We all knew the
organization and GOTV effort for the convention could result in a victory -
and it did, thanks to the tremendous efforts of this team.

What's more, this result was achieved with grace and civility, belying the
many ruffled feathers it caused.  The Legacy people had to grudgingly
acknowledge the fairness with which the proceedings were handled; as the day
wore down, there were even some smiles from the "other team".  Perhaps they
realized that we are, after all, not the frothing kooks they've been led to
believe we are, but rather, Patriots full of love for this Nation, fervently
dedicated to the ideals of Peace, Liberty and Rule of Law.
