Just as the Federal Reserve is being called into question with the HR 1207 Audit the Fed juggernaut, President Obama is proposing to grant it vast new dictatorial powers over the economy. Of course, they tell us this is necessary In order to keep us safe and so that another financial catastrophe such as the one we recently experienced “never happens again”.

What: On Thursday, July 9th the members of the U. S. House Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology are scheduled meet at 2:00 PM to consider this proposal.

When: All day Wednesday, July 8th End The Fed! will follow the nationwide July 4th Tea Parties and July 6th "Audit the Fed! Melt the Senate Switchboard Day" with a No New Fed Powers! Call the Subcommittee! Day

Action: We and everyone we know nationwide need to call and/or fax the members of the subcommittee and tell them we oppose the expansion of the Federal Reserve's powers and that we want it to be audited and then ENDED!

Obviously, we don't need to urge Rep. Paul to oppose the Fed, but if you like you can contact him to thank him for his leadership on this issue.

I realize that some people may not be able to contact all 17 members in one day. In that case, I would urge you to contact as many as you can. If you can only do 3, focus on Chairman Watt, Rep. Gerlach from PA, and one other member. Or split the list between the 8th and the morning of the 9th. Whatever you're capable of doing!
