I found the article about our Saturday MeetUp in the Journal this morning.
As of now, 7:20 on the 28th, there's a link on the front page to the article.
Overall, I thought it was a decent article...

Although it wasn't necessarily a hit piece I thought I was pretty novice journalism.

It definitely wasn't anything special or explanatory, but at least they acknowledged Ron Paul's existence. For that alone - sweet.
Plus, it gave our MeetUp some exposure and a few comments have been left... who knows, maybe someone will join because of it. If that happens, that alone would make me glad the piece was written.

i just can't believe they showed up out of the blue to do a story on us. and front page... can't beat that. i'm disappointed with the mention of the 'rascist comments' thing, though. i'm gonna get ahold of the writer and turn her towards ron paul's veiws regarding race on ron paul library. maybe she'll change her tune after that.

This is Justin Raimondo's knockout article that skewers propagandist hack James Kirchick who "broke" the newsletter smear, and Nick Gillespie and his Reason/CATO crowd of fakes.

Why the Beltway Libertarians Are Trying to Smear Ron Paul

And Raimondo's follow up article on these clowns.

Yeah we could have done without the racist comment and them with Corey's statement like it was a reply to the racist comment. Guess I'm not too surprised with the spin from this little piss ant paper. Im sure it is part of their protocol from the higher ups that actually own them. All in all I guess we will take the exposure we get.

the sad thing is that my wife actually knows the woman (but i think she had left before the wife showed up). perhaps if the timing had been better, she might have given a more favorable review- but that's really just baseless speculation on my part. anyway i did get a hold of her to discuss ron paul's veiws of race, and she informed me that she was well aware of his views, and the only reason she brought it up in the article was because that was the key issue the main steam media was reporting on, not because she thought he was a rasist. so basically the paper itself is just playing off of the msm propaganda, as though to remind people where they had heard of ron paul before. but whatever... maybe we're making too much of it. i've had several people come up to me at work and acknowlege the article without ever bringing up the race issue, which leads me to believe that it was something that most people just kinda glossed over anyway. but then again, these were people i know personally, and thus they would have been excited to see someone they know in the paper and might have glossed over not only the 'race' issue but everything that was good in the article as well- so i don't know... i guess we just take it for whatever may come and go ahead as always.
