Members,

I was not impressed with Mr. Adler.

His opening remarks were nonsensical; conflating blockhead notions of American greatness during war, from our founding to the present, and our determination to survive the Great Depression (sic), which, in his mind, make Americans, in the present, ready to face and overcome today's problems.

This person has no clue about real economics, the inflation we are facing, or the damage to be wrought by all the government borrowing, spending and redistribution.

Does this guy ever believe he works for us? Because he speaks as though he represents the federal head not the people of his district. All I can think of is, "I am from the government and I'm here to help you."

Then Mr. Adler was ushered to a separate table to take visitors. There was a numbered sign-in list and those people listed were brought before the Rep. by the numbers. Who is this guy, the Pope?!!

This format really irked me. It dis-invested the attendees from the opinions of their neighbors. The community learned nothing. You certainly cannot have people coming in with one problem to hear their neighbors voice three other problems and then you now have people with four problems about which to be concerned, oh no can't have that! I saw it as a divide and conquer tactic. A construct to keep Adler from having to meet questions in an open forum, which could expose the man for the neophyte he actually is. This has me asking, John, what are you hiding? Ignorant, trite polemics? Overused, tattered platitude? Pure inexperienced posturing?

Like I've said, not very impressive.

I sat at the table with Rob P and Paul T and we presented HR 1207 to the freshman. Rob recorded the exchange and here is the link to the audio:

Members, please pick up the phone, call your representative to encourage them to co-sponsor and work to pass HR 1207. Do it right now.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Adler is now a cosponsor of HR1207. Maybe he read the Hazlitt book? Time to educate Christopher Smith NJ-4th district.
