About The Aiken Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty

This Meetup Group began as the local grassroots support for getting Congressman Ron Paul elected as the next President of the United States. Dr. Paul suspended his presidential campaign in June 2008, but the Republican nominee for President won't actually be chosen until the Republican National Convention in early September.

Ron Paul began a "Campaign for Liberty," the mission of which is "to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity."

The purpose of this Meetup Group will therefore be broader than just getting Ron Paul elected. It will be to carry on the mission of the Campaign for Liberty locally. In order to do this, everyone will need to chip in a little money to fund the group, be willing to attend occasional Meetups, and stay focused on freedom and liberty issues. Together, we can do it!
