WHAT: SUN FIESTA PARADE WHEN: Saturday - October 20, 2007 TIME: 8:30am Parade Marshalling Area Parade begins at 10:00am WHERE: Venice, Florida 34285 DETAILS: Come one come all. The 35th Annual Sun Fiesta Parade in beautiful Venice Florida is shaping up to be another fabulous Ron Paul event. (Most of you remember our stunning success last month at the Labor Day Pioneer Days Parade & Picnic in Englewood where we had 20 vehicles/floats and 125 supporters spreading Ron Paul's message of Freedom, Liberty, & Prosperity!) We have to be in the Parade Marshalling area by 8:30am. We have a lot of last minute decorating & organizing of our "Ron Paul Trolley" so come early & pitch in if you can. If you have a "Ron Paul decorated Vehicle" we need you to line up early. We need lots of "walkers" to pass out Ron Paul materials to the parade spectators. We'll have some items to pass out. Bring all you American Flags and Ron Paul signs. Wear your Ron Paul t-shirts, hats & buttons. This would be a good opportunity to go buy maybe 5-10 lbs. of individually wrapped hard candy that is on sale now, as we can pass some out Saturday and also at the next couple of parades we have planned in the near future! If you can't bring anything to pass out we sure would appreciate Ron Paul volunteers, er make that, Paul-unteers to pitch in with a donation for all our give-a-ways. The Sun Fiesta Parade route begins at the West end of W. Venice Avenue (at the Gulf of Mexico) and proceeds east on Venice Ave., then turns South (right) on Nokomis Ave. where it will then go several short blocks and turn right onto Turin St. and end in Blalock Park. The parade route is 1.3 miles long. The Parade is easy to get to from U.S. 41 or I-75 check with your favorite Internet map service for directions from your homes to the intersection of W. Venice Ave. & N. Park Blvd. Venice, Florida 34285 or ... EASY DIRECTIONS: W. Venice Avenue will be closed at 7:00am the morning of the parade. Coming from the North, go South on Business 41, go over the North Bridge onto Venice Island. At the foot of the bridge turn right onto Tampa Ave. Follow Tampa Ave to the end (3 blocks) and take the jog to the right. Continue to the next intersection which is N. Park Blvd. Turn Right & proceed to Armada Rd. If you are coming from the South, take Business 41 over the South Bridge and cross W. Venice Ave & turn left at the next corner onto Tampa Ave. & proceed as above. We line up in the Parade Marshalling Area at the West end of W. Venice Ave in parade slot #36 at the corner of Armada Rd. & N. Park Blvd. Please R.S.V.P. on the calendar at our S. W. Florida Ron Paul 2008 Meetup Group website. Indicate how many will be there (Bring family, friends, & neighbors!) and what materials you are bringing. Also tell us if you are driving your Ron Paul decorated vehicle in the parade or are walking to pass out literature. If you are walking, your load is going to be lighter as we have Ron Paul Balloons! Join us for a great time in the Florida sunshine and enjoy the cool Gulf breeze in Venice!
