A nationwide protest of the Federal Reserve will happen on November 22, 2009. The El Paso Campaign for Liberty Meetup Group will lead a peaceful protest of the Federal Reserve at El Paso's">Paso's branch of the Dallas Federal Reserve, located at 301 E. Main Street in downtown El Paso.

The Federal Reserve creates the boom/bust business cycle. By increasing the supply of money and bank credit, the Fed can give the illusion of increased real wealth to create a temporary boom. The newly created money gives to investors and entrepreneurs false signals of an increased demand for goods. Investors and entrepreneurs fooled by this illusory boom will invest in capital goods such as new factories, machines, and tools to meet an anticipated future demand. However, the market eventually realizes that there was no real increase in wealth or amount of goods in the world, which could sustain an increased demand. There was just an increase in paper currency. Consequently, longer period production projects and capital goods investments become unprofitable, which leads to projects going unfinished, workers getting laid off, and expected profits decreased. It is the Federal Reserve determining the supply of money and setting the rate of interest, so the Federal Reserve is most responsible for creating the boom/bust business cycle.

If we accept that it is unwise for government to decide what the supply of automobiles, tennis shoes, or loaves of bread should be, we should also realize that government cannot accurately determine what the supply of MONEY should be. If government cannot accurately judge what the prices of goods should be, then we must also realize they cannot determine what the price of money should be by setting INTEREST rates.

People have trusted the Federal Reserve until recently, because they thought the "Federal" part of its name made it a government entity, when in fact it is not. The Federal Reserve is a private banking cartel that has taken control of our money supply with no accountability whatsoever to the federal government. Money backed by a commodity, such as gold or silver, limits what government can spend on entitlement programs and needless wars. The dollar was once defined as 1/20 an ounce of gold, but that is no longer true. The Federal Reserve ignores this standard for its own profit and gives federal government the misguided belief that they can spend without limit. The result has become an ever increasing debt burden that is enslaving every American and threatening our national sovereignty.

To truly be free, we must have free market money, stop using fiat currency and totally abolish the Federal Reserve.

The El Paso Campaign for Liberty Meetup Group will take advantage of Ron Paul's growing momentum and get our group to a level of influence it has not seen before. H.R. 1207, Ron Paul's Federal Reserve Transparency Act, is attracting bipartisan support that has already resulted in 58 co-sponsors of the bill. This is a first in American politics.

There has never been such congressional effort to expose the Federal Reserve's secret operations. This legislation is unifying Americans around a common goal to preserve the buying power of their hard-earned dollars. No other issue is so pervasive and serious as the hidden tax of inflation thrust upon unsuspecting Americans by the secretive Federal Reserve, a privately owned banking cartel that answered to no one, until now. Ron Paul's H.R. 1207 is now changing all of that. His simple legislation is attracting extremely positive mainstream media attention for free.

The El Paso Campaign for Liberty Meetup Group will exploit this momentum to build a political machine that raises the El Paso County Republican Party's prominence to a level it has never before experienced. We will send a very strong delegation to the Texas Campaign for Liberty Convention this summer and to the Texas Republican Convention in 2010, which will result from our exceptional El Paso turnout at this next "End the Fed" national event on April 25, 2009.

We have two weeks to plan for a great showing of old and new members, for positive media exposure and for an attractive, unifying message resulting in explosive growth of Republican Party influence here in El Paso. Join us on Friday April 17, 2009 at DirecKt Connect Communcations to take part in something big and exciting for our wonderful city. We had 11 people attend on Friday April 10, so let's build on that number of attendees for next week's meeting.

Hello Folks,

This meetup will be perhaps the single most important meetup in over a year of our group's existence. Why? Because we have the opportunity to help George Rodriguez Stoltz be elected Sheriff of El Paso County, Texas. He is a highly capable, highly experienced man of honor and integrity. He is a staunch supporter of our Constitution, protector of our inalienable, God-given rights and proactive planner in the prevention of crime, rather than reaction to it. Of all the people we're voting for this November 4, none is more important than our Sheriff, the sovereign lawman of our beloved El Paso County. We must keep the El Paso Sheriff's Department separate from the El Paso Police Department, so it can remain the sovereign law enforcement body of El Paso County. Please come out in great number and support George Rodriguez Stolz for Sheriff. We are planning some highly effective campaigning during peak traffic hours at major intersections with innovative signage invented by our own Mike Halliday. Please help us make this last several days before the election a major boost to George Rodriguez Stoltz's campaign, and in so doing put our El Paso Campaign for Liberty Meetup Group on the map as a major political asset. You can help us make this happen. Now is the time. Please join us at 7:15 pm Friday October 24, 2008 at the Secure Living Self Defense facility on Viscount at Gateway West next door to the Rancher's Grill Restaurant in Barley Square. See you there!

This Saturday we will be meeting at the Americas High School at 9am to canvas El Paso's registered voters. We have lists of voters we plan to be contacting by knocking on doors and giving them pamphlets about the candidates. We will be promoting George Stoltz for Sheriff and Charlie Garza for District 75 State Representative. We are working together with the two candidates friends and families in this campaign. So, please come help spread the message of freedom by helping two good Americans get elected.
