This article is a real eye-opener. With all the talk about where can we get the

monies for a public health option, here's an idea - how about cutting our military

spending about 20%? This would allow for over $100 Billion Dollars to go toward

health care. Our current military was designed and built to fight the Russians

during the cold war. Now that this threat no longer exists, why does the U.S. spend

more money on our military than the next top 9 countries combined! I know that the

world does need policing, but this should be shared more with our allies and not be

such a burden to the U.S. Taxpayer. It's time we reap the "Peace Dividend"...
