We will pass out slim jims, buttons, DVDs, voter registration forms, bumper stickers and signs. There are a few rules, and the mall is public property, so let me just lay it out: We can't make noise, "hawk" or go after people to hand our stuff out. We cannot create a nuisance. We can't have more than two signs, signs can't exceed 22" x 28" and must be of "professional" quality. The signs can't be on sticks or baseball bats (seriously, it said that). I will bring two yard signs and tape them to the table. We may not "carry" or "hold" signs, so no sign waving indoors. Participants may not use, operate, or permit to be played any musical instrument, or device, instrument or equipment for the reproduction or amplification of sound in a manner which: 1. creates noise of sufficient volume to impinge on the hearing or peace of patrons of the Center, as opposed to those persons within a few feet of the Participant; or 2. interferes with the commercial purpose of the Center or its tenants or creates a highly inflammatory or confrontational atmosphere likely to lead to a disturbance; or 3. projects obscenities, pornography, grisly or gruesome displays, inflammatory slogans or racial, ethinic slurs etc. Not sure if that excludes the tiny DVD player, or not, so I'll bring it in a spirit of optimism.

Bay Area MeetUp Groups, headed by Vince, will be organizing to hand out Ron Paul literature at the 4th Annual West Coast Walk for Life on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in San Francisco. More than 20,000 participants from the Bay Area and as far as Bakersfield, Sacramento, and Reno are expected to attend this massive event. (3 Marin Gp members will meet at about 1:30 pm on MARINA GREEN to leaflet arriving walkers) This is an excellent opportunity prior to the Primary election to reach a THOUSANDS of California voters in the span of a few hours, but we need help to do this. The Event officially begins at 11:00 am on the lawn adjacent to Justin Herman Plaza at Market Street & The Embarcadero in San Francisco. The Ron Paul groups will organize at 10:00 am (details to follow). Please refer to the arial map here: http://www.walkforli fewc.com/2008/Walk%2 0for%20Life_rally.jp g Speeches from notable speakers (Dr. Alveda King - Martin Luther King, Jr's niece) will begin the event, followed by a PEACEFUL, SILENT march to the Marina Green. Please be respectful of this silence. Event Details can be found here: http://www.walkforli fewc.com/index.htm and http://www.walkforli fewc.com/event.htm. Transportation details from Marin to San Francisco are TBD -- details will follow, so stay tuned. If you can volunteer, please RSVP here on the Marin Meetup Calendar, AND fill out the RSVP survey form here: http://www.surveymon key.com/s.aspx?sm=ir 7jDsiBKTf0W2F2CL1UBg _3d_3d. Abortion is a very sensitive topic for many, so do not feel obligated to attend if you feel uncomfortable about participating. Be aware, however, there will likely be counter protests, so please be respectful of these individuals and their free speech rights as well.
