Local bookstores carrry the "newly revised" tenth edition, I found one at books a million a few weeks ago for 18.00.

Also, Marcus Anderson the Republican from the convention has a seminar coming up the 12th of April. Ill post that info and dates and times in another page.

I was tickled watching two of the ladies, one of which i thought was a democrat, get tangled up trying to ask questions and others opinions instead of listening to the resolutions and deciding what they meant. I loved it when she would say "could you please read that resolution in english". The chair stating that its her job to interpret it, as the text is read.

Loved it when a hazy and unclear one would come up and folks would simply say it was that way. There was common sense there.

The Authentic Republican woman behind me kept calling a "point of order" because of the long resolutions discussions past 3 minutes. She knew what she was doing, she knew her stuff. One of the other ladies called her out loud and says "just who are you?" are you with the city, or the government?...... :) I dont know where to find such a challenge in my edition of the rules.

The Republican Convention leadership (Tomme, Nix, Ohlhausens', Christian, Ashmore, Anderson, etc..) was very well done and very competent, Honestly, they have a great bunch of folks doing a difficult job, and they did it superbly, and It was a great learning experience. Was a priviledge to attend.

I dont know which was more longwinded, the resolutions or one opening speech in particular. WHat I learned about having to endure longwinded and mystical resolutions is that the shorter they are the better, and they need to be very specific with no wiggle room, no statutes or bills referred to unless someone has the text of it attached. I suspect that the resolutions committee is an agonizing and long one to chair or serve on. What I learned about long winded candidates speeches is to go get coffee, doughnut, and visit the mens room.

Good observations, Tim. You know, I thought we'd be treated much worse. In fact, I sent an email to Curtis Tomme saying how great everything was. I also asked him how I go about getting a copy of the minutes. We need to see who's on the delegate list!

To those who were selected as delegates or alternates: If you don't get a packet in a couple of weeks (by Tax day:(), contact Curtis Tomme (pronounced tommy) at the Abilene DA's office.

I don't know if anyone is really going to coordinate the RP delegates for state. There's a guy doing something at ronpauljournal.com. I emailed him today. Perhaps we can compile a list for the counties around here? Just knowing names would be helpful. Getting all of us together before the convention would be great!
