Carl Svensson

This is a general 'meet and greet' meeting but the agenda will include coalition building and "term limits"

Grassroots representatives of several parties will be here - Republicans, Independence, Conservative, Libertarians, and perhaps, the NY Constitution Party too. George Devine, a Co-Chair of the UlsterCounty Independence Party will be speaking informally, and hopefully, Don Silberger, Chair of theLPNY will be there too. Conservatives will be represented, and hopefully, a leader of the NY Constitution Party will be there too.

My name is Carl Svensson, a State Co-Chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus
-- the libertarian Republicans, and I will be hosting this event. I am tied into a state-wide network of
thousands of 'limited government types" which we hope to motivate to work together on a common
agenda. We are a diverse group, but we believe that we can coalesce around particular issues and
candidates in many cases.

Please relay this information to like-minded individuals and like-minded eGroups too.

As most of you know, this group is closing down in a matter of days, perhaps hours, and we are attempting to consolidate this group with others in the Hudson Valley. RSVPs are coming from that
group, and I would encourage all of you to join that group at this time by using this link:

http://rlc.meetup.com...

Please RSVP here, but please do also via the new site or by contacting me at: [masked] or via my cell: [masked]. The same holds true for questions.
Or, you can join our HV e-Group by sending a blank e-mail to:

[masked]

Both the Meet Up Group and the e-Group are sponsored by the RLCNY for outreach purposes.
Membership is either does not make you a member of the RLCNY which is a dues-paying organization (we communicate via separate ).

If you can, please print this info before the group 'closes".

You can find out more info about the RLC by visiting our national website: www:rlc.org

We also maintain a state-wide e-Group for outreach purposes that includes members of the
leadership of such groups as the RLCNY, the LPNY, the NYS Constitution Party, the Republican
Urban Coalition, the John Birch Society, as well as the leaders of the NYC based Libertarian,
Conservative, and Republican Meet Up Groups, and Organizers of various Ron Paul Meetup
groups throughout the state. You can join that group -- to check us out -- by sending a blank
e-mail to: [masked]

I hope that you will join us as we work to advance freedom in NYS>

Yours in Liberty,

Carl

It looks like we are all set; we should have about 15 people including Don Silberger and Gary Treistman, two members of the LPNY State Committee, and our "speaker", George Devine, Co-Chair of the Ulster Co., Independence Party. Also received a call tonight from Howie Rich, a trustee of the Cato Institute, and Chair of US Term Limits, who gave me some insights to share with the attendees. Yours in Liberty, Carl Most of the folks are from the 'new' group; I do not know exactly when

Who attended?

  • 19 attendees
    •  Great people, diverse group. Unfortunately for the folks here, only a couple of you were able to attend. I would hope that those of you who did, will share your thoughts with the others on this list. The venue was too small for the numbers who came out, but that was the mistake of the organizer who held his 'first Meet Up'. Everyone there expressed an interest to meet as soon as possible, and a new meeting will be scheduled in New Paltz within the very near future (probably 4 weeks from last night), but the meeting will be moved to a "hall" -- probably the New Paltz Village Hall -- after "dinner".
