Who should come: delegates/alternates FOR RP; OR: who are NOT FIRMLY mccain/huck, who WILL be on our side when we try to change the rules at the convention to make them more fair, and will NOT tattle to the executive committee about us trying to change the rules.

Why: this meeting will better prepare you for the convention. we will figure out carpooling issues, discuss robert's rules of order (how to make a motion, etc), and spend most of the time on the rules, what about them needs to be changed and how.

Meeting Description: the rules that we have to operate under TEMPORARILY for the convention are very unfair. (these are the rules from the last convention. we have to start with them because the executive committee didn't write new ones before the first of the year. however, it is standard procedure in robert's rules of order, which they HAVE to go by, that we are allowed to amend the rules on the floor and vote on them.) if it happens that we have more delegates wanting to go to the state convention than there are spots open, (which is admittedly NOT very likely, as we are allowed about 55 spots and it costs $85-100 to go, plus gas, etc), then there will be a vote. to ensure that this is done fairly, we will need to change the rules. we will need a 2/3 vote to do this, but this will be easy because we will NOT be slanting them in our favor, but simply making them FAIR, so even delegates who are NOT for ron paul will want to vote for them. we have done our homework and know what needs to be changed and how to do it, but we need your help. we want everyone to understand what's going on when it happens so no one feels lost, because it may move quickly. we also need everyone to know what to vote for and what to vote against.
make no mistake: it IS still possible for ron paul to WIN the nomination. but we have to know what we're doing to make it happen. please do everything you can to make it to this meeting and let your fellow delegates and alternates know if you can trust them not to leak this info to the executive committee.
