"Be not intimidated... nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice."
-- John Adams
(1735-1826) Founding Father, 2nd US President 1765

IF
...
If you can meet with triumph and disaster,
And treat those two impostors just the same
...Rudyard Kippling

--------------------------------------

When the dust has cleared
And victory denied
A summit too lofty
River a little too wide
If we keep our pride
[Bravado lyrics on http://www.metrolyric...]

Though paradise is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost

And if the music stops
There's only the sound of the rain
All the hope and glory,
All the sacrifice in vain
And if love remains
Though everything is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost
-Rush, Bravado

"People get the leaders they deserve. They lead the lives their vision can include. They are the strength and sinew of their time. They are the musical notes that dance on the lead sheets of the composition. What?s that you ask? "How come my head is filled with all these cartoon characters?" Tom and Jerry, The Coyote and the Roadrunner? beep? beep and holy shit!" -- article I clipped from today....

In this stormy world of corruption and tyranny, one light shines through the clouds! This light is the gleaming heart of the real patriots that fight for freedom, justice and the American dream!

I'll establish a "Don't Ask,Don't Tell," policy on why I am quoting Larry Flynt on politics. ;)

"Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper."
ROFL.... the libertarian in me likes that quote, Larry Flynt exemplifies self-expression... even tho people may have a problem with him personally.

So heres my follow up quote:

"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." ~ Voltaire
