Dear Ron Paul supporters,

I would like to say thank you to all Michigan volunteers and surrounding states that worked so very hard on the Ron Paul campaign.

This campaign has taken many turns but one thing has remained the same- the dedication and drive of every volunteer working together to spread Ron Paul?s message of freedom, peace and prosperity. Never in my life have I seen so many dedicated volunteers working together for one cause. Many lost their jobs and homes yet still continued to work on the campaign in hopes of a better future for themselves and their children.

We worked very hard in Michigan to spread Ron?s message. It was the grassroots movement that started it and held us together right up until the end. Here are a few comments out of the many I pulled off of the forums after the results came in.

The grass roots did a killer job in MI. They totally shocked me!

This is my third thankyou Michigan. Hooray for yooouuuu!!!!

It's great to see Paul's name labeled on that CNN pie, and doubly sweet that Paul's slice is bigger than Guliani's!

I started to compile a thank you list of those that I thought went above and beyond the call and stopped when I realized it was adding up to everyone.  Thank you all for staying up to the wee hours in the morning making signs. Thank you for working the parades in your communities and making floats to go in them. Thank you for standing out in the rain, sleet and snow waving your Ron Paul sign. Thank you for the Ron Paul mobile billboard. Thank you for billboards purchased on your own. Thank you for attending the many community events to spread Ron Paul?s message. Thank you for the many hours you spent lit dropping in surrounding communities. Thank you for all the gun shows worked over the weekend. Thank you for the many dollars you contributed to the campaign even though it could have gone elsewhere. Thank you for all the calls made on behalf of the campaign. Thank you for the many letters to the editor in support of Ron Paul. Thank you for taking time away from your family almost every weekend to work on one project or another. Thank you for standing up to local law enforcement in support of Ron Paul. Thank you to those that outfitted our campaign office and worked it when they could. Thank you county coordinators for all your efforts organizing events for your volunteers in your community. You did a great job with limited resources and all volunteers should call and thank them personally. They took on the responsibility of your county and worked with what they had. Let?s give them a hand.

Finally, thank you to Randy at The Meeting House Grand Ballroom in Plymouth for his facility, staff and menu items for Ron Paul supporters on election night to watch the results. www.themeetinghousegrandballroom.com. We have all gravitated toward Ron Paul for one reason or another but the one that stands out the most is the possibility of freedom. Freedom from a national ID card, the freedom to travel without papers, to be free from debt and the mounting deficit, free from the IRS and over taxation, the freedom to defend ourselves, the freedom to make choices in our health care and to be free of government intrusion in our daily lives. Our freedoms have been taken for granted over the years and only one man, Ron Paul, will stand up and fight for them. Regardless of the presidential outcome I urge you all to stand together and help America move towards freedom. This is the beginning.

Many of you have asked ?what?s next??  The Michigan primary may be over but in actuality the work has just begun. We need to get like minded members elected into public office and we need to become precinct delegates so that the face of the party begins to match the values and principles we hold so dear. Begin by assembling supporters in your area and attending your upcoming county convention to fill the open delegate seats. Let?s not try and change the party, let?s be the party.

Our Detroit office will be open this weekend at 10:00am so that any signs you may have can be dropped off. See any signs along side the road? If you are located in the Flint area please call me at 248-442-9751. I will be heading to the Flint location over the weekend to pick up signs from the office and be available for anyone dropping off unused signs.

Again- Thank you for all you have done. It saddens me to know that I will not be in constant communication with you anymore. This campaign and its members have become family to me. We were quite a diverse group but Ron Paul brought us together. My fondest memory of this was at the Mackinac Conference. I?ll never forget standing on the porch of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island watching you parade him up to the porch. It was quiet with idle chatter when in the distant a lone ?RON PAUL? chant was heard. People started getting up from their chairs and heading for the balcony to see what the commotion was. They knew something was about to happen, it was in the atmosphere and electric. Another lone RON PAUL chant sounded in the air. It was followed by another and another and grew louder and louder until finally the source of the commotion was visible. I picked up my camera to film your arrival but like the other porch people was astounded by how many of you there were and with mouth wide open  I could only drop my camera and watch. I was disappointed at the time when I realized it was not captured on film, but know now that it will forever be imprinted in my memory. Thank you for that. Thank you Ron!
