Announcing a new meeting for The Chattanooga Ron Paul Meetup Group!
What: Connect with others to make an impact locally, state-wide or nationwide! When: Thursday, April 3, 7:00 PM Where: Click the link below to find out! Who should come: This will be a great opportunity for everyone that is concerned about the direction our country is going in to come and connect with each other to find common ground and coordinate efforts to work together and make an impact. Why: This meeting will be productive, and worth your time, if you will join us. You will have the chance to 1) connect with others who share your concerns, 2) develop a game-plan within these smaller groups to make an impact. Meeting Description: Everyone has limited time, many of us very limited, that we can commit outside of jobs, family and other responsibilities. And yet we have connected with this group because there are concerns that are worth our time, energy and resources. So, here's the game-plan for the meeting April 3rd: 1. Meet briefly as a larger group to discuss the game plan for the meeting. 2. Get into smaller groups around the room to work together with others who share our specific concerns (that fall within the things you would see on Ron Paul's www.ronapul2008.com issues, which is pretty broad, but keeps us centered on that foundation that brought us together). Strategize within those smaller groups and discuss efforts you can take together to help advance the cause. Discuss how you will plan to communicate with one another to work on these efforts, whether that will mean meeting together or communicating via email. In other words, these smaller groups will work on their own to develop their specific goals and how they will accomplish them. They will determine when and how they will connect with each other on an ongoing basis. (They will not be waiting for another large group meeting to get together to work on things.) 3. It might be helpful to nominate one person within the focus-group who will be the point-person to help communicate key information to the larger meet-up group when there are strategic opportunities for others to come alongside. We found common ground to unite and work together for Ron Paul and his platform (www.ronpaul2008.com). Now let's be strategic with our time and resources, and connect with others on issues and concerns. It's easier to coordinate schedules within smaller groups, so we will form smaller working focus groups which will focus on different strategies. For example, some will take action on the local level, some state-wide, and some on national issues, or other specific issues. As we stay connected in the larger group, we can communicate opportunities as they arise where the larger group could come together at key opportunities to speak together as a larger voice and combine our efforts (like we did for Ron Paul.) Ron Paul has been working tirelessly for decades to change the course of our country. Rather than getting discouraged at not getting more votes in the primaries, let's hold on to his sense of optimism at how many are waking up and getting involved, and let's move forward with whatever time we can put toward this. If you made it all the way down to here, thanks for reading and considering joining in this effort! Hope for Tomorrow - Action for Today --dshinn Learn more here: http://ronpaul.meetup... |
