Hi all,
I just read in the Grand Haven Tribune that there is going to be a Congressional Candidate forum Oct 6th, 2008 at the Spring lake district library, so voters can meet the candidate's trying for Michigan's 2nd Congressional District. The presentation will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The League of Women Voters of the Grand Haven Area will moderate the question-and-answer forum. All the candidates who are on the November 4th ballot for the congressional race are expected at the forum. U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra is being challenged by Dem, Fred Johnson of Holland, U.S. taxpayer Ron Graeser of Fremount and Lib. Dan Johnson of Jenison. Patty Map

Due to an unexpected family obligation, Todd Johnson cannot host the Pool Party this Friday. It appears that most people are far to busy with summer to come to meetings anyway. Come to think about it, it has been the same few people who show up every month. Unless someone else want's to take over these meetings and the group, this will be the last event that I will be scheduling.
