Combining Meetup Groups

Several months ago, I started Meetup groups throughout Utah and beyond. I hoped that, over time, local Ron Paul supporters would find their way to these groups, local leadership would emerge, and these groups would ultimately become self-sustaining. I succeeded rather well in some cities such as Elko, Pocatello, Logan, and Tremonton. But not as well in others.

Lately, I've been rethinking things a bit, especially since (1) most groups in Utah quit growing after February 5th, (2) many groups have almost no (or in some cases, entirely no) members, (3) not all of these members are even active, and (4) I'm paying monthly fees to maintain all of these groups that, in too many cases, would probably be more effectively spent elsewhere. So, I'm now hoping to merge some of these groups with each other.

In this area, I'll no longer be Organizing a Meetup group in Kanab--and I encourage all current members of this group to join the active one that's based in St. George.

I would love to see the remaining Ron Paul 2008 Meetup groups in Utah reborn, at some point, as Republican Liberty Caucus Meetup groups, especially since some of us are now working to officially organize a RLC state chapter for Utah. Thanks! :D
