AGENDA:

9:00 AM - Precinct Meetings

10:00 AM - County Convention

We need to find every Ron Paul supporter and get them to this meeting.

Please plan to arrive a little early to meet others and get "oriented". Don't be afraid to ask questions of those running the meeting. The turnout will probably be very low.

All that's required is to show up at this meeting. You will then be qualified for the rest of the delegate selection process. Because these meetings are so poorly attended, I don't expect any voting to take place to select delegates, so please show up!!

We can expect to have some candidates for local, state and national office address the Convention.

We will have updates, if necessary before the meeting date.

Important Note: Less than 1/3 rd of the Precincts in Orange County are "organized" with duly elected Precinct Chair. This is an important position. The Precinct Chair has a vote on the County Executive Committee. We need to have more activists with a Constitutional Freedom perspective in these positions. Please consider accepting the position of Precinct Chair in your precinct.

Note: There may be a cost to participate in the meetings. Typically, 5 or 10 dollars. Each county is different. Hopefully, there won't be a cost, but I'm not sure right now.

Please send me any questions you have and I will get you the answer. Or, call me, if you prefer.

We may have waited one day too long to fight back. It seems the present in power will go to great lengths to silence those who are speaking out against their very aparent disregard of the ground rules that were laid in the beginning of this great peoples. They will not go without a fight, and they will not play fair. Please do not give up. Everything we are and our childrens future are haning on the forsight of those who would join this revolution. The rest are either stupid or insane.

We should go out of our way to shove this in peoples faces, or they will not see it. I don't know its that they can't, or they just don't want to, but we as americans have done our forfathers a great dishonor in allowing this to go as far as it already has. They died for what we gave away IN FEAR. Fear is our present governments greatest wepon, shame on us! Give me liberty or give me death! This was the cry of a generation. Take our liberty, but keep us safe will go down in history for this one.

The local Republican Party was welcoming of new people and even of Ron Paul supporters. This was the first time my husband and I have participated in local political action in Orange County though we have lived here for 26 years. It was quite a contrast to hear BJ Lawson and then Augustus Cho speak. The choice is clearly between one candidate for US Senate well-versed in the constitution and conservative principles and the other advocating forcing will for freedom in other countries at the point of a gun and not understanding the difference between interventionism and isolationism. Everyone present got to be delegates to the District Convention in Raleigh in April. In all, we were pleasantly surprised at how accepting and gracious the organizers and long-time members of the party were to everyone. We went home with copies of the Declar. of Independ. and USA Consti., yard sign for BJ Lawson and literature about the Nat. ID Act. Thank you meetup for getting us this far.
