Ron Paul was a very unconventional candidate for president. He didn't want to control our lives, he genuinely despised taxes, he had respect for property rights and had a firm grasp on many of the most important economic concepts. He understood freedom and has been willing to defend it, without exception, and without concern for his own popularity.
For many of us, Ron Paul was our first exposure to concepts of freedom. During his campaign, we all wished that we could hear more from him than the 15-second sound bites we heard on television. In response, he has released The Revolution: A Manifesto, in which he explains what he believes freedom is all about. At the end, he also provides a reading list of his own. (See pages 169-173)
The goal of this group is to learn about freedom by reading and discussing the books Dr. Paul has suggested, starting with The Revolution: A Manifesto.
