I've been trying of think of some ideas to help spread the word about our new group. AND to get Dan's name out there.

I was thinking a parade might be a good way to do this. The next parade in East and West Dundee is the Memorial Day Parade and it will be held on Sunday, May 25th at 2:00pm. The parade starts at Immanuel Lutheran Church along Rt. 72 into West Dundee to end at Graffleman Park.

I was thinking that we could get some flyers together and our group (along with our families) can march in the parade. We can shake hands and pass out the flyers and throw candy (maybe some wrapped with our name on it and website link?). We can have Dan (and family) march with us and/or next to us while passing out his info and supporting him too.

After the parade we can hang out at Graffleman Park to talk to anyone who saw us and had questions about the group. Maybe we could have a sign up sheet ready and some contact information about the new website, this site, where we meet, when our next meet up is, Jarett's mission statement, petition sheets for Dan, ect...

We would need to contact Ken and Bobbie Andersen from the VFW at 847-551-1981 if we want to participate in the parade.

Also I was thinking we could get our meet-up info on the East Dundee message "board" thing that's in front of the Dairy Queen?

I'm not sure how much any of this would cost but I'm sure we could put our money together and make it happen.
