Please invite any Ron Paul supporter you know to this fun celebration/party to prepare us for the caucus! Brian

Message from Clyde Cleveland:

The one minute speech competition on Sunday has just became much more exciting. A $50 gift certificate to Top of the Rock restaurant in Fairfield has just been donated to the female winner of the speech competition on Sunday!

The first place male speaker will receive a new Ron Paul T shirt with great quotes from Benjamin Franklin and Abraham LIncoln.

Second place and third place winners for both men and women will receive a brand new copy of Ron Paul's new book on international relations. If you have not seen this book it is absolutely fantastic.

Every participant is a winner!! all will receive a signed copy of "Restoring the Heart of America" written by Ed and Clyde

We will not know what great inspired speakers we have in our group unless everyone participates. We would love to see every single person that comes on Sunday give a one minute speech. No pressure, but everyone is sincerely invited to do this.

In light of what Joe is saying below we should invite anyone in the Meet up group who would like to speak for one minute to do so. We particularly need women to volunteer for this. One minute is very short, you just get up, speak from the heart and briefly say why you are supporting Ron Paul and why you hope everyone will vote for Ron Paul tonight. There is so much material on line and the Lepard ad is just full of great material. I am including my five minute speech which is now out the window but may give people some ideas. I am going to just do the Goldwater quote now and shorten my speech to one minute.

Bottom line is we should select three people from all the speeches on Sunday and everyone should give a one minute speech. We need young people and women to participate please. At least one of the three we choose should be a woman. It wouldn't hurt to have all three be women.

The meeting on Sunday will be great fun and great practice for everyone. Please participate in this, all that it requires to be a great speaker is enthusiasm for the topic you are speaking about. People will feel your enthusiasm and if you are coming from the heart they will respond!!

Thanks see you Sunday at 2:00

Dear Ed and Clyde,
Thank you for working hard on your speeches for the Caucus. I look forward to hearing them on Sunday afternoon.

I have just spoken with Joe Seehusen and I mentioned that you both were planning on Speaking at the Caucus and that you, Ed, had been told that a five minute speech was AOK.

Joe jumped on that point. He said that based on information that has been shared with him by 'Professional Caucus Consultants' these are the highly recommended guidelines that he, Joe, is going to distribute to the Iowa Campaign. You gentlemen are getting it early.

Here are the points:

1. Speeches should be short, not long. Joe said it is better to have two or three people make 'one or 1 1/2 minute speeches' than one person make a three minute speech.

2. At least one of the speakers should be a woman. This is very important, since RP is a man.

3. The speeches should 'Simple' and 'Heartfelt'. It should positively touch the emotions of those hearing it.

4. Longer than three minute speeches should be avoided. We must show manners to all gathered. Respecting the 'three minute' rule is important.

5. Teaching-type information about the Fed, etc should be studiously avoided.

I hope you find this useful.

Again my personal thanks for all your hard work. I am grateful that you are doing this.
Michael McKay

Clyde Cleveland and Ed Noyes,
authors of the book: "ReStoring the Heart of America".

What Reviewers said about this book:
US Congressman Ron Paul: "A well-articulated and very positive description of what will happen when we return to the fundamental, and eternally valid principles upon which this country was founded." -

Gary E. Johnson, Governor of the State of New Mexico: "Remembering what America was yesterday strengthens the foundation we stand on today. Cleveland and Noyes have recaptured the passion and vision of our Founding Fathers; retracing politics back to morality, civility and a government for the people."

Please join us for a celebration of hope for the nation and the world that we could have such a leadership based on the such deep principles and eternal truths.
