How should the organizer handle spats between members that cause your inboxes to fill up? I have taken a light-handed approach. When I see a situation brewing, I contact a few key players and remind them that it may irritate others enough that they quit. Sometimes, this results in emails such as: "Here you go Kathryn. This person, whom I do not know, just validated my point - exactly. The Barr trolling, and your defense of it, will destroy this group." I will not ban people or messages. period.
