It's just been announced that Ron Paul plans to visit Indiana on May 5th. This will be at 7 pm in Auer Auditorium on the IPFW campus in Fort Wayne. The contract has been signed with IPFW. So the event is definite. As far as I can tell it is free and there are no tickets. I can only assume that if the auditorium fills up, then seating will be first come first served.

Auer Auditorium is inside the Rhinehart Music Building, which you can find as buidling 15 near the center of this campus map:

You can also find it on this interactive map, near the top:

Here are driving directions to IPFW:

For any who were uncertain about this event because of the unofficial nature of its original announcement, it is now listed on the official campaign website:
http://www.ronpaul200...

It is also written up in Indiana's News Source, our of Fort Wayne, and our own South Bend Tribune:

The latter gives a number to call with any questions:

I can leave from Elkhart anytime after 4. I'd prefer to pay for gas, but I'll drive if needed.

Carpooling sounds like a great idea, anyone have a van? I would be glad to drive, but only have room for two in my truck. Or, I would gladly pay for gas if someone else would like to drive. I called the number that was on the Tribune online, the gentleman said parking should not be a problem, and that the doors would open between 6:00 and 6:30. The links that Eric has provided should prove to be very helpful in finding the campus and the building.

Does anyone want to carpool? Any suggestions on when to arrive or where to park? I'm guessing getting there an hour before hand should be a good plan.

Who attended?

    •  Got to see him speak, and got my book signed. Mission accomplished!
    •  Ron Paul in person and brimming to the top with message of FREEDOM. The auditorium sat around 1600, and it was PACKED. He stayed afterword signing autographs for a very VERY long line of people. The movement is not about a man running for office; it is about an idea. That idea is that everyone should have the freedom granted by God and guaranteed by the constitution.
    •  http://www.nolanc... I had a good time. After writing about Ron Paul for months, I was excited to actually meet him. I was blown over by such a huge turnout.
    •  Great to see him in person! Very forthright, genuine, as usual!
