Let's celebrate Constitution Day by letting our elected servants know we haven't forgotten the original contract established by "We The People." United Freedom Makers will be hosting another Teaparty; let's join in and let them know there's a Constitutional candidate waiting in the wings that they can help catapult to the U.S. Senate. A planning meeting will be held on Tuesday 15th, I'll be attending that as well. Call me if you plan on attending the Teaparty and/or the planning meeting! Phil Schmitt 812.568.9698

Let's get this started! On August 5th Rand Paul announced that he WILL be running to be a Senator from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He needs our support! Thursday August 20th will be an important day as it will be the campaign's first big MONEY BOMB. The goal is to raise $1 million in 24 hours! Our goal is to donate, get back together, have a little fun, and think big about what will no doubt be a very big and very important race THAT WE CAN DIRECTLY IMPACT! Also too, I will be sending press releases to our local media outlets, so let's generate a little bit of free press in the Evansville viewing area for the good Dr. I've reserved 20 seats at Turoni's Main Street, so it's first come first serve. Turoni's will accommodate more, but that was the committed amount I reserved. Be among the first 20 to RSVP and I'll save you a seat! (also too, there is a private room that has been booked for 5:30, so I've been told that if they clear out in due time, we might mozy that direction.) BUT ABOVE ALL PLEDGE TO DONATE at runrandrun.com And on the 20th, go to randpaul2010.com to make your donation, and to watch that Money Bar fill up! I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!

Rescheduled to the 3rd Thursday for June As of June 10th there are currently 207 Co-sponsers for H.R. 1207, also known as the Audit the Fed Bill! Tom T. and myself met with Congressman Ellsworth March 16th and offered this piece of legislation as a solution to help with the kinds of problems that lead to the bailouts, which we protested back in October (and which is probably why he met with us). He has yet to sign on, which is disappointing considering 30 of his Democratic Party associates have already done so. We must apply some pressure and encouragement. At we will come together to hand-write letters. I will supply paper, envelopes and postage. Bring yourself, a pen, and maybe a small donation to cover the cost. I've been told this has been effective from other people who did the same thing, as its pretty hard to defend a position that you DON'T want transparency in monetary concerns...and also in the case of Mr. Ellsworth, I'm not sure he knows enough about the issue to feel to strongly one way or the other. Efforts such as this will eventually sway him. It's already swayed 207 other congressman and more everyday! Ron Paul has said in interviews, as in this well done piece, that the main reason he's gathered so much support for his ideas and this bill is because of the efforts at the grassroots to encourage their representatives. Let's be among those that can say our efforts paid off with a victory and let's get Brad Ellsworth to co-sponsor H.R.1207. See you Thursday! (Also, you can write your letter before the meeting if you'd like, heck, while you're at it, get a family member or two to do the same! I have posted some examples and ideas to help you in the message board.) Phil Schmitt rephil513@gmail.com 812.568.9698

Different time and location: We will be meeting from 6:30-8p.m. at North Park Library As of May 7th there are currently 139 Co-sponsers for H.R. 1207, also known as the Audit the Fed Bill! Tom T. and myself met with Congressman Ellsworth March 16th and offered this piece of legislation as a solution to help with the kinds of problems that lead to the bailouts, which we protested back in October (and which is probably why he met with us). He has yet to sign on, which is disappointing considering 21 of his Democratic Party associates have already done so. It is time to apply some pressure and encouragement. From 6:30-7 we will come together to hand-write letters. It's already swayed 139 other congressman and more everyday! After that, we'll have an hour for a group discussion as the North Park library closes at 8. There's a Starbucks a stones throw away from there where conversations can continue into the evening. Ron Paul has said in interviews, as in this well done piece, that the main reason he's gathered so much support for his ideas and this bill is because of the efforts at the grassroots to encourage their representatives. Perhaps you have heard of the Tax-Day Teaparties that are forming spontaneously throughout the country? Well, Evansville will be having its own! There will be a TeaParty, Wednesday April 15th Between 5 and 6 p.m. downtown at The Centre. Hundred's of people will be there and I WANT YOU to be among them! I'm posting a meetup and I encourage everyone to R.S.V.P. to join in and be present for what will certainly be a historic day. WE HAVE A MISSION and this is why your presence is needed. March 16th Tom T. and I met with Congressman Ellsworth in response to our bailout protest (finally). In that meeting, we encouraged Mr. Ellsworth to co-sponsor H.R. 1207, the bill introduced by Ron Paul that would Audit the FED. Since then 55 members of Congress have co-signed, but Ellsworth hasn't! March 27th-29th I attended the Campaign for Liberty Regional Conference in Saint Louis and there it was announced that passing this bill, H.R. 1207, would be the National focus for the organization in 2009. Ellsworth must co-sponsor, and we will put the pressure on him to do so. R.S.V.P. for the TeaParty and find out how you can help and be a part of history!!! P.S.--(we have 115 members, I'd like to see at least 25 R.S.V.P's. There will be a lot of fresh faces and new blood at this rally and we need to show up in force to educate and steer the newbies to the issues that matter!!! The event organizer has given me some Mic time and I will be exposing the Fed and encouraging those in attendance to sign a petition. When they sign the petition they will get a small 27 cent postcard that they will sign and I will mail to the Congressional office here in town. With enough pressure and encouragement I think Mr. Ellsworth will concede to our demands and co-sponsor the bill! But I need your help to do this!) Thanks, Phil Schmitt 812.568.9698
