Hello all;

We had a good turnout for our city caucus and decided to elect members of out town committee either as a delegate or an alternative.  This provides a good opputunity for all those you want to and are available to participate in the state caucus on May 17.  More information will be sent from the state committee.

We want to start having breakfast meetings again.  Shelburne has breakfasts meetings the first Thursday of the month and we are all welcome to join them.  Would we be better off to meet the third Thursday of the month and invite members from other communities to join us?  Any thoughts are welcome.  In the meantime let's plan to meet for breakfast on May 6 at Alex's at 7:30 am.

The 2008 Lincoln and Reagan Day Dinner is an important state fundraising event to support.  It will take place on May 1 at 6 pm at the Burlington Hilton.  GOPAC Chairman Michael Steele is the speaker for the event.  It is exciting to have such a dynamic speaker who will help charge us up for the election season.

It would be exceptionally nice to have a South Burlington table at this event.  Tickets are $100 or $150/couple.  If this is difficult for you, some reduced price tickets are available to encourage those who might not otherwise to attend to come and enjoy an evening with republicans from around the state including Gov Douglas, Lieutenant Gov Brian Dubie and our own Alden Guptil and John Stewart.

If you would like more information about tickets please contact Alden Guptil at VTGOP HQ: 802-223-3411 or if you are interested in joining other South Burlington Republicans please respond to this e-mail in the next day or two and I will work on getting at table together for us.

Agnes
