Here's my latest weekly report to Utahns for Liberty of Utah County...

Howdy there, fellow liberty-lovin' Utahns of Utah County! :D

During these last two weeks, Payson held its annual Onion Days parade, which was Utah County's last parade this summer, this year's Republican National Convention transpired in St. Paul, Ron Paul's new Campaign for Liberty held its own major events in neighboring Minneapolis, which I hope to report about soon, Connor Boyack held another monthly liberty lunch at his home, and I hoped to staff a booth at Provo's Farmers' Market (Dustin, were you there?) but couldn't do so because I was unexpectedly stranded in Wyoming for two days with car trouble. As always, you can read more about many of these matters and/or discuss them on our message board.

In other recent news, Provo's city council debated property rights (was anyone there?), USA Tomorrow began publication, and Aaron is seeking a transcriptor. Please visit our message board for details and/or to discuss these subjects.

Both today and tomorrow, I will be staffing a recruitment booth for BYU's Freedom Society at BYU's Involvapalooza. I'm considering renaming this club to something like BYU Students for Liberty and affiliating it (unofficially, at least) with Ron Paul's new Young Americans for Liberty. It's possible that BYUSA (a.k.a. BYUSSR) will suspend this club because I did not attend their mandatory club leadership training last Friday evening, as I was stranded in Wyoming with car trouble. Also, last semester, I was never able to devote nearly as much time to this club as it deserved -- and I'm concerned that this problem may continue. So, would any fellow BYU students feel interested in succeeding me as its President? In any case, please feel free to visit our calendar for details, if not drop by this booth.

This Wednesday at 4:00PM in Orem at UVSC, Dr. Steven Jones will host a 9/11 Seminar for the public for free. If you know people who are willing to consider the possibility that our government's official view of 9/11 is incorrect, then please invite them to attend this seminar. And please visit our calendar for details.

This Saturday at 1:30PM in Provo at BYU, BYU's Cougars will play UCLA's football team. For two hours beforehand, I'd love for some of us to wave signs and/or distribute fliers and/or something to game-goers in order to promote Ron Paul's new Campaign for Liberty. Would anyone like to design and/or to mass-produce some fliers for this purpose, preferably with a team roster on one side? In any case, please visit our calendar for details and/or to RSVP.

This Saturday at 4:00PM in Taylorsville, Rob Alexander, a Ron Paul Republican candidate for state representative, will host another campaign meeting. Attendees can receive walking/calling lists and can roll up fliers and place them in plastic door hanger sleeves. Children are welcome; they can play in the toy room or in the yard (trampoline and grass), or watch a movie in the entertainment room. Refreshments will be served and donations may be taken for pizza. If you can't volunteer your labor, or even if you can, then at least consider donating some money to help Rob win. And please visit our calendar for details.

Also, please don't forget that this year's Conservative Leadership Conference in Las Vegas is quickly approaching and that the Leadership Institute will hold an excellent Grassroots Campaign School on its first day.

Is there anything else that we should be trying to do? Or that we should know? Do any of you have anything else that you'd like to share with us? If so, then please feel free to share it with us all on our message board at your leisure. And please try to visit it as regularly as you can -- if you haven't been doing this, then you've probably been missing things.

So, here's to another week in our campaign for liberty! :D
