Along with the huge Ron Paul march on Washington, D.C., on June 21st, some folks have also been discussing a Ron Paul march on the Republican National Convention, which will be in St. Paul, MN, on September 1st through 4th. Perhaps it will influence some of the national delegates inside.

In any case, I hope to be there to show my support for Ron Paul--if not as a national delegate inside (for which I'm aiming) then at least as a grassroots activist outside. We may be making history there and I'd hate to miss being part of it!

Here's a message that I received that I wanted to share with y'all:

Come to Minneapolis for Ron Paul

Fellow Ron Paul Supporters,

Do you want to make a difference for Ron Paul at the Republican National Convention -- even if you aren't a delegate?

NOW YOU CAN.

Ron Paul's name is going to be put up for nomination at the RNC. It only takes a majority of the delegations from as few as five states supporting a Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate, to force a floor vote on that candidate (see Rule No. 40b at http://www.gop.com/Ab.... We WILL have a majority of delegates in at least five state delegations; under the rules, simply presenting signed documentation from the majority of delegates from at least five of the states at the convention that they personally support Ron Paul for nomination would be sufficient. And, even bound or pledged delegates can "demonstrate their support" of Ron Paul in such a way for the Presidential or Vice Presidential nominating process.

But... so what?

One of the main goals that the Ron Paul Campaign has right now (besides winning the nomination) is to get Dr. Paul a prime-time speaking slot at the RNC. Just getting his name up for nomination probably isn't going to do that -- the GOP leadership needs a STRONG REASON to make that decision.

That's where YOU -- and thousands of others -- can help.

Think about this: at the 1960 Republican National Convention, it was an almost foregone conclusion that RIchard Nixon would be nominated for President. Supporters of the REAL conservative candidate, Senator Barry Goldwater, realized that they were fighting an uphill battle for their candidate, but they nominated Goldwater for President from the floor anyway. They wanted their man to appear in front of a NATIONAL AUDIENCE, to spread his message of limited government to the whole country.

And then an interesting thing happened, which caught the Nixon team -- who had tried so hard to make sure everything in the convention was tightly planned and under serious control -- completely off-guard: a "spontaneous" demonstration for Goldwater erupted on the convention floor. It appeared that he had a groundswell of support!

In fact, what really happened was that, thanks to the Goldwater-supporting state delegations from Arizona and South Carolina, hundreds of young people were snuck in "under the tent flaps" of the convention staging area. They were given false ID tags, and got onto the floor during the nomination, where they broke into their "spontaneous" (but actually carefully-planned) demonstration.

This staged show of support took everyone by surprise, and had its intended effect: Goldwater asked for permission to address the convention, and permission was granted.

Now, I'm not recommending breaking any rules or laws. But if we want to see Ron Paul get a good speaking spot at the RNC, then we need to generate the same kind of "spontaneous" demonstration as the Goldwater supporters did in 1960. Which means we're going to need a LOT MORE Ron Paul supporters inside that convention hall than just the 500 or so delegates we expect to have there.

We need YOU, and everyone you can bring, to be there -- and here's how you CAN be!

At the official RNC website -- http://www.gopconvent... -- it states, "With the help of volunteers, the 2008 Republican National Convention will be a truly remarkable event. The convention and the 2008 Minneapolis- Saint Paul Host Committee will recruit more than 8,000 volunteers, who will perform key duties and play crucial roles in the areas of transportation, information services, hospitality, and special events during the week of the convention."

Did you read that? EIGHT THOUSAND VOLUNTEERS are needed there. They're BEGGING you to come and get "official status" and "backstage passes" to their event!

So what are you waiting for? Come, help out, have fun for the week... and then be sure to be INSIDE the convention hall when Ron Paul's name is announced as a candidate for the nomination, so WE can have a REAL demonstration for the only TRUE conservative running!

Beware of Infiltrators

If you plan to demonstrate while in St. Paul, then expect to be infiltrated. Police are already actively soliciting folks for this very task, as this article below reports.

City Pages: Moles Wanted

These infiltrators will be seeking intelligence about potential acts of domestic terrorism, which they will report to the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. Hopefully, this won't result in any innocent folks getting a one-way ticket to Guantanamo Bay or something. Remember that "terrorism" is generally defined as unlawful use of violence in pursuit of desired sociopolitical goals.

Some infiltrators may deliberately try to turn a peaceful protest violent--be alert to such attempts don't ever let them succeed. If they do, then your peaceful protest will suddenly become an act of "domestic terrorism"--and you know what that would allow! By the way, here's a link to info about an incident in which police agents provocateurs infiltrated a peaceful SPP protest last summer and attempted to turn it violent but, thankfully, failed.

Infowars: SPP Agent Provocateur Cops Caught Red Handed Attempting To Incite Violence

So, evildoers will want excuses for law enforcers to crack down on you. Don't allow them any. Until they pervert the law further, as long as you remain peaceful, the law will protect you. I'm not saying this because I expect any attempts at violence from any of us but, rather, because I expect it from people pretending to be some of us.

The fact that agent provocateurs often infiltrate peaceful street demonstrations in order to turn them violent and lay the blame on the demonstrators is one of the reasons The John Birch Society's leadership has long prevented JBS members from holding street demonstrations. Another reason is that street protests are a tactic very often used by communists and others of the LEFT, so holding street demonstrations can be seen by viewers as some kind of leftist demonstration.

By the way, while waiting for the Ron Paul march in Washington and the Ron Paul march on the Republican convention, we can all work to influence our present Congressmen to co-sponosor or otherwise support Ron Paul's current bills and resolutions. I've listed some prominent ones here: http://jbs.meetup.com...

David, I must compliment you on the previous message and your timely sharing of that message with your readers and members. What great educational projects to share with your meetup members! I will be sharing your message with others outside of this venue to ask for their participation with "Manifesto Delegato Project". Thanks for the information. This gives me hope to see an effort aimed at influencing the national delegates with truth this way.

Message from Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty on 2008 Jul 09...

This is going to be a September to remember!

As the Republican National Convention gears up to nominate a candidate at odds with so many of the party's traditional principles, and who promises us four more years of war, inflation, and financial ruin, we'll be holding our Rally for the Republic in neighboring Minneapolis.

On September 2nd, at the University of Minnesota's Williams Arena, the message of freedom and the Constitution will be shouted from the rooftops. We'll hear from top-notch speakers, musicians, and organizations who share our message. (We've already revealed a few of them, with many more to be announced in the coming weeks.) We'll stand up for the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and respect for the Constitution that were once the hallmarks of the Republican Party.

And we'll have a great time.

Our program in the Twin Cities will be unforgettable. With your help, this can be the biggest event the freedom movement has ever seen.

At the rally we'll also officially launch the Campaign for Liberty, complete with a multimedia presentation introducing the organization and laying out our short- and long-term goals. We'll also hold workshops on how to organize and win in your precinct, district, and state. There are no shortcuts: this is the kind of knowledge we need if we are to translate great ideas into electoral victories.

But that's not all: we also have exciting events planned for September 1st, the day the GOP convention opens. First, Ron Paul will hold a book signing for his #1 New York Times bestseller, The Revolution: A Manifesto, at 1:00pm at a Borders bookstore on the outskirts of St. Paul (866 Rosedale Center, Roseville, Minn.). That night, as a thank-you to all those who worked so hard on the campaign, we are pleased to announce the Ron Paul Nation Celebration, a free concert by musicians who supported Ron Paul.

Next week we will debut a new website dedicated exclusively to our events in Minnesota, including logistical support, information on performers, a working schedule, and promotional items to download and distribute. We'll let you know as soon as it's up and running.

In short, please come to Minneapolis if you possibly can. Urge your friends and family to do the same. Be a part of the grand culmination of Ron Paul's historic campaign, and the official launch of his new one, the Campaign for Liberty. There is no better or more dramatic way to declare that we are here to stay, that Dr. Paul's support was no flash in the pan.

Ron Paul has made incalculable contributions to the cause of freedom, and inspired millions with his message. Will you join us in standing beside him in September, at a critical watershed for the freedom movement?

In liberty,

The Campaign for Liberty Team

P.S. With the two major-party nominees rattling sabers at Iran and making phony promises with money that doesn't exist, our message of peace and freedom needs a high-profile boost more than ever. Come to Minneapolis, and let's make it happen!

P.P.S. We want to reach 100,000 members of the Campaign for Liberty by September. Can you lend a hand by signing up one friend or family member by the end of the week?

Homeland Security Prepares for the Republican National Convention

Congress has authorized spending $100 million on "security expenses" at this year's national conventions for both major parties. This money, at least in part, will be used to purchase top secret weapons. Alex Jones reports more about these matters, as well as about past incidents of agents provocateurs and governmental crackdowns on peaceful protests, here on Infowars.

Message from Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty on 2008 Jul 22...

If they expected us to retire quietly from the scene, the political elite are in for a surprise.

Today I am making some very big announcements.

First, from August 31 to September 2 in Minneapolis, we will host a handful of events that will shake the political establishment. Everything will culminate on Tuesday with the official launch of the Campaign for Liberty at the Rally for the Republic.

The Campaign for Liberty will be the largest organization for peace, freedom, the Constitution, and sound money in American history. It will launch in grand fashion with lots of special guests and -- if the early television and print inquiries we've received are any indication -- plenty of media attention.

I would like to personally invite you and your family to join me and thousands of others in Minneapolis for these events and send a message to the Republican Party.

Tickets will go on sale for the Rally for the Republic this Friday, July 25 @ 10AM CST. We want this to be an unforgettable day, so we are holding a ticket bomb all day Friday in the tradition of our famous money bombs. How many seats can we sell on the first day?

In patriotic fashion all tickets will cost $17.76, so you can afford to bring the whole family.

This leads me to the second big announcement. After measuring the excitement and enthusiasm, we decided that the Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota was just too small to hold you. Therefore, we are making a significant upgrade. The Rally for the Republic will now take place at the Target Center, the largest arena in Minneapolis!

This promises to be the most spirited and provocative political event of the year! We held some very large rallies during the presidential campaign, but I have never attempted anything of this scale before. Its success rests entirely in your hands.

Later this week I will announce two internationally renowned musicians as headliners for the Rally for the Republic. We'll also be joined by rock star Aimee Allen, NBC's Tucker Carlson, Barry Goldwater Jr., Gov. Gary Johnson, conservative stalwart Grover Norquist, former Reagan deputy Attorney General Bruce Fein, presidential historian Doug Wead, MTV's Adam Curry, musician Mark Scibilia, and Frank Sinatra impersonator Rick Ellis. Other special guests will be announced soon.

My staff has been working overtime to provide you with three full days of entertainment. Please visit the schedule page of the website and read all about upcoming events. We also have a lodging page to help you find accommodations in Minneapolis.

Together we are taking back our government and restoring the republic. Please join me in Minneapolis to kickoff the Campaign for Liberty and support our Revolution. Can I count on you to be there?

In Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. I know that you have done so much already, but with both major party nominees threatening to lead us into bankruptcy at home and more wars abroad, the success of the Rally for the Republic and the launch of the Campaign for Liberty is crucial. Please do what you can to be in Minneapolis August 31 - September 2 and send a loud and clear message of freedom, peace, and prosperity.
