This is the place to continue the conversation between monthly Meetups. Get to know your local Meetup community, ask questions, answer questions, talk about your last get-together--it's up to you.
We ask that you keep messages civil and relevant to your Meetup Group. This message board is moderated by your group's Organizer. He or she can edit or delete posts. If you see problem messages--spam, advertising, threats, abuse, or off-topic posts--you can tell your Organizer by clicking the 'Contact me' link on the left side of this page. Finally, try our general Meetup.com message board if you want to discuss the service with members of all of Meetup's 3,000+ topics. We hope you, your family, your friends, and your community have great Meetups! |

To help us minimize any spam, please use our mailing list only for general announcements; and please use these discussion forums for all other topics, especially for committee work that does not concern most group members.
If you would to chat with fellow group members via e-mail without restriction, then please feel free to join this Yahoo! group, as well. If our group's e-mail volume ever becomes a problem for you, then you can visit your account to change your e-mailing preferences. Also, if you're new to our group, then please study our New Member Guide. Thank you! :D |

Message Board 101
If any of you find our message board intimidating for some reason, then please know that it functions a lot like e-mail in some ways--and please be assured that, if you happen to press the wrong button, then nothing will blow up. Perhaps some folks will find this info useful... * Want to start talking about something? On our Message Board page, near the top, you should see a button reading "Start a new discussion." Click it, enter a subject, and type a message. You can press the Preview button below to see how it will look when it's posted, if you like, and you can change parts of it that you aren't satisfied with--you can preview it as many times as you like. Once it's finalized, you can click the Submit button to post it. * Once a message is posted, it won't be sent to every member of our group, like e-mail will, but it will appear on our Message Board page for everyone to read. Messages will be listed by their subject. You can click on one of these subject lines to read a message, much like you do with e-mail. You can reply to a message that you're reading clicking the "Add a reply" link below it. The process of replying to a message is almost the same as the process of posting one (see above). Replies will appear below the original message in the order in which they're posted. Each message, coupled with its series of replies, is commonly called a "thread." * Each time a thread is created or added to, it will be "bumped" to the top of the list on our message board page. The orange dots on this Message Board will show you which threads include new content that you haven't read yet. A few special threads have been "pinned" to the very top of this list so that they won't get lost. I hope that some of you may find this info useful. In any case, please contact me if any of you have any further questions that I can try to help answer. Thanks! :D |
