Awkwardly, our new name lasted for less than one week. It's now Utahns for Liberty of Utah County. I'm so thankful that so many of you provided your input about this subject. Please visit our message board for details or to discuss this matter further.
Last Saturday morning, I hoped that two or more of us could distribute fliers along Eagle Mountain's Pony Express Days parade route. Unfortunately, I alone attended this activity--and, sadly, I failed to distribute any fliers. Please visit our message board for details.
In other recent news, an open letter to the Republican National Committee about Ron Paul would like your signature, a project to petition our Congress for redress of grievances is underway and would like your support, and registration is now open for Conservative Leadership Conference 2008, which will be held in Las Vegas this September. This Thursday evening at 7:00 PM, the John Birch Society will be holding a meeting within Mainspring Day Spa (beneath Good Earth) in Orem to educate folks about the U.N.'s Codex Alimentarius. Please visit our calendar for details.
Also this Thursday evening at 7:00 PM, Jason Chaffetz, Republican candidate for U.S. Representative from Utah's 3rd Congressional district, will appear at an "Ask Jason Anything" meeting within Provo's City Library. His campaign could use plenty of volunteer support during these next two weeks before Utah's state primary election on June 24th. This Saturday, which is Flag Day, some people have scheduled a nationwide Internet "money bomb" (fundraiser) to help pay for the Revolution March in D.C. on July 12th. Please visit our message board for details, including a link to this fundraiser's official website.
This Saturday morning at 8:00 AM, the Republican Liberty Caucus of Utah will hold another meeting, this one on SLCC's Miller Campus in Sandy. Utah's state Republican Party's Central Committee will meet at this venue just two hours later. Please visit our calendar for details or to RSVP.
This Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, Springville will hold its annual Art City Days parade. I estimate that we could use at least six folks to distribute RLC-UT, Ron Paul, and other fliers to folks gathering along its route ahead of the parade itself. After covering this route, y'all have a few options--you can leave, you can watch the parade, or you can go join Jason Chaffetz' volunteers who will be marching as part of this parade. Sadly, since I'll be attending the aforementioned RLC-UT meeting, I probably won't arrive there in time to help with this activity--in fact, so far, not a single person has committed for certain to do so. I estimate that we could use perhaps twelve or more folks to distribute fliers to folks gathering along its route ahead of the parade itself.
