"The full quote to remember to form a truly dangerous mind is; "What didnt they teach you in school and why didnt they teach you that? and "WHat DID they teach you in school and WHY did they teach you that!" From there you will gain the mental hand to pull back the curtain and see the puppet masters!"

Craig Townsend (Apr 15, 2008)

"What didn't they teach you in public school and why? For others, like me, who accepted a less-than-adequate education or simply thirst for a greater understanding of political/economic philosophy, discussing these books/authors and their importance in today's political & social climate will fill that need."

Hana Bernard (Apr 11, 2008)

"We need not reinvent already published great ideas, but you should consider this great opportunity to delve into and discuss thoughts about the past, present, and future of Liberty before it is too late."

Lee Welter (Apr 11, 2008)

"Now that we're stuck between 1984 and 2012, this is a group that knows what's up!"

Warren Frost (Apr 10, 2008)

About this Meetup

The Liberty Lovers book discussion group is a meetup open to anyone who would like to learn more about political and economic philosophy.

We are strongly in the classical liberal tradition which was the tradition of the founding fathers of the United States. We will also discuss the ideas of the founders of socialism and conservatism and the arguments that still polarize us today which have their roots in ancient Greece 2500 years ago.

This will be no boring seminar. The most heated and vitriolic ideas that have changed the course of western history over the last 350 years will be open for discussion.

Come and learn and give input to this group!

We are open to newbies, neophites and old pros etc.

FYI: College professors sneaking in will be fined for snacks and coffee!

Yall Come on down now, ya hear!
