Details
The RP Hollywood Activists organizers are very excited about the outcome of our last Assembly and believe it will provide such an attractive format that all other successful RP Meetups will adopt the format as well. Our format should provide a specific amount of time for business to ensure progress, accountability and then plenty of informal time for fun.
Our last meeting was our first using the Robert's Rules of Order and so we kept it to our Organizers only. It was very constructive and set the foundations for future Assemblies.
Here are the basics of what we discussed:
1. Stanton moves to explore Hollywood locations for possible meeting places.
- Assigned
--- Stanton: Bliss Café, W. Hollywood City Hall
--- Roger: Library on Sunset, 101 Café, Roosevelt Hotel
--- Jaime: Karma Coffee shop, Ametron Theater space
2. Roger moves to set format for the monthly meetup as follows:
- 30 minutes guest speaker
- 1 hour formal discussion and voting using Robert?s Rules of Order.
- Bounce to a social spot for informal, unspecified amount of time.
3. Discussion the restricting or discrimination against disruptive meetup members.
- Roger moves for all of us to come up with a criteria list for banning people from the group.
4. Stanton moves to readdress the banning criteria at next formal meeting.
5. Roger moves for organizers to share responsibility for bringing snacks and to decide who brings what at Friday?s ?REP FF? meeting?s before the formal meetup.

I hope to see you all at the next meeting.
Note:
In the interest of maintaining order and encouraging efficiency, we have adopted Robert's Rules of Order as a method of organized meeting proceedings. Robert's Rules of Order detail a method of procedures which Henry M. Robert loosely modeled after those used in the United States House of Representatives. You can find the Project Gutenberg EBook of Robert's Rules of Order in plain text HERE, or purchase it HERE. You can view and download a chart HERE.
