This will be the final public hearing on Real ID. The three that came before it were in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Scranton.
We must get a lot of people from Pittsburgh to this hearing! This is our last chance to speak out!
WE MUST GET HB 1351 PASSED AND KILL REAL ID IN PA!!

We must bombard all of our state reps with phone calls if they have not yet become a co-sponsor of HB 1351 and get them up to Erie! If you would like to help in the calling effort please say so in your RSVP Comment.
Our goal is to get 30-40 activists from Pittsburgh up to Erie. Because this is our last chance!! If you have a personal or vacation day from work please take it!! Members of our state government will be there, and you can help persuade them to get HB 1351 passed and kill REAL ID in PA!!
UPDATE: There are now 90 co-sponsors of HB 1351, as Rep. Brooks just signed on!! The magic number though is 135 co-sponsors for this bill to become VETO-PROOF!! We must keep the heat on our state legislators so this bill passes and REAL ID DIES IN PA!!!

“ This was the first hearing which I physically attended and I have to say that I found the experience worthwhile. Clearly, 1351 should be passed and Real ID demolished! I wish there was more time for the question and answer session since you know, it is supposed to be a PUBLIC hearing! Nonetheless, I think we got our point across and it's clear that no one and I mean NO ONE wants Real ID in PA! The discussion we had on the trip back was good. I have to agree that there should definitely be much more pointed questions asked next time but it is necessary to address the issue within the bigger picture at least somewhat (but not quite as much as it was discussed at this hearing). ” -
