Hi Morgan, your statement, "Ron Paul has a lot of support online... BUT.. if that support does not translate into everyday Americans that are willing to take the time to support the next President of the United States of America, than it is all for naught", is so true.
If I am correct, the following statements are true: 1) The majority of registered voters are over 50 years old. 2) A large number of the 50+ population either do not have internet access, or do not use it as their primary source of news. With the media blackout, most of these people have never even heard of Ron Paul, never mind knowing what he stands for. I believe that many of these people would support and vote for Dr. Paul if only they could find out about him. A lot of people bemoan the fact that he is not getting the numbers in the polls, but when I mention the idea that a majority of voters are not getting his message for the above reasons, they just don't get it. I guess it is just more fun to spend hours talking in the forums and making YouTube videos. Many of the younger generation do not seem to understand that their parents and grandparents do not usually spend their time in the same way, but they DO vote. |
